Setup Instructions

1. Preparation

Before installation, ensure the surface where the light strip will be applied is clean, dry, and smooth. This will ensure optimal adhesion.

2. Installation Steps

  1. Attach the End Cap: Place the provided end cap securely onto the end of the LED neon rope light. Power on the light and check if it illuminates correctly.
  2. Clean the Surface: Thoroughly clean the desired installation surface to ensure it is free of dust, dirt, and moisture.
  3. Peel and Stick: Carefully peel off the protective film from the adhesive backing of the rope light. Begin sticking the light strip to your desired position, pressing firmly along its length.
  4. Corner Installation: For corners, use the internal angle cover to ensure a neat and secure fit. The flexible silicone material allows the light to conform to desk edges.
  5. Secure Placement: After positioning, press firmly along the entire length of the neon rope light to ensure strong adhesion.
  6. Connect Power: Connect the power adapter to the light strip and plug it into a power outlet.
  7. App Pairing: Download the Govee Home App from your smartphone's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to pair your device via Bluetooth and then connect to your 2.4G Wi-Fi network.

Operating Instructions

1. Govee Home App Control

The Govee Home App provides comprehensive control over your RGBIC Gaming Lights. After successful pairing, you can:

  • Choose from 16 million DIY colors to personalize your lighting.
  • Select from 64+ dynamic scene modes for various moods and activities.
  • Activate 11 music modes that synchronize the lights with audio.
  • Adjust brightness, set timers, and create custom effects.

2. Voice Control

The Govee RGBIC Gaming Lights are compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, allowing for convenient voice control. Ensure your device is connected to a compatible voice assistant for hands-free operation.

3. RGBIC Segmented Lighting

The RGBIC technology enables individual control of 42 segments along the light strip, allowing for multiple colors to be displayed simultaneously. This creates dynamic and customizable lighting effects.

4. AI Dreamview Sync & Razer Chroma

For an enhanced gaming experience, the Govee RGBIC Gaming Lights can sync colors with the Govee AI Gaming Sync Box (sold separately) and Razer Chroma. This integration creates an immersive battlestation by linking lighting effects directly to your games.

Maintenance

Cleaning

To clean your Govee RGBIC Gaming Lights, gently wipe the light strip with a dry, soft cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or excessive moisture, as these can damage the product.

Storage

If you plan to store the lights for an extended period, ensure they are clean and completely dry. Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures to prevent damage.

Troubleshooting

Lights Not Turning On

  • Check if the power adapter is securely connected to both the light strip and a functional power outlet.
  • Verify that the end cap is properly installed on the light strip.
  • Ensure the light strip has not been cut incorrectly. Only cut at designated points marked on the strip.

App Connection Issues

  • Confirm your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The device does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi.
  • Restart your Wi-Fi router and the Govee device.
  • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone for initial pairing.
  • Update the Govee Home App to the latest version.

Inconsistent Lighting or Dead Segments

  • Inspect the light strip for any physical damage, sharp bends, or kinks that might interrupt the electrical connection.
  • If the issue persists after checking all connections and physical integrity, contact Govee customer support for further assistance.
