Setup Guide

1. Compatibility Check

Ensure your iPad model is compatible with the Zspeed Stylus Pen. This stylus is designed for specific iPad models from 2018 onwards. It is not compatible with iPhones, Android phones, Android tablets, or Microsoft devices.

  • Compatible iPad Models: iPad 10th/9th/8th/7th/6th Gen, iPad Air M2/5th/4th/3rd Gen, iPad Pro 13" M4, iPad Pro 12.9" 6th/5th/4th/3rd Gen, iPad Pro 11" M4/4th/3rd/2nd/1st Gen, iPad Mini 6/5th Gen.

2. Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge your Zspeed Stylus Pen. You have two charging options:

  • Type-C Charging: Connect the included Type-C cable to the pen's charging port and a power source. A full charge takes approximately 90 minutes.
  • Magnetic Wireless Charging: Attach the pen magnetically to the side of your compatible iPad. This method provides a full charge in 2-4 hours.

Note: Magnetic charging is available only for iPad Pro 12.9" (3rd/4th/5th/6th Gen), iPad Pro 11" (1st/2nd/3rd/4th Gen), iPad Air (4th/5th Gen), and iPad Mini (6th Gen). It does not magnetically attach to iPad Pro M4 13"/11", iPad Air M2 13"/11", and iPad 10.

3. Bluetooth Pairing

To view the stylus's battery percentage on your iPad, connect it via Bluetooth:

  1. Go to your iPad's Settings.
  2. Select Bluetooth.
  3. Ensure Bluetooth is turned On.
  4. Long press the top of the Zspeed Stylus Pen for 3 seconds to turn it on.
  5. Look for "SKY-PEN" or a similar name under "Other Devices" and tap to pair.
  6. Once connected, the battery percentage will appear in your iPad's status bar.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

To turn the stylus On or Off, long press the top of the pen for 3 seconds.

Shortcut Functions

The Zspeed Stylus Pen features intuitive shortcut controls:

  • One-Click: Tap the top of the pen once to return to the main home screen.
  • Double-Click: Tap the top of the pen twice to open the APP selection page (task manager).
  • Swipe from Lower Left Corner: Swipe from the bottom-left corner of the iPad screen towards the center to instantly take a screenshot.
  • Swipe from Bottom Right Corner: Swipe from the bottom-right corner of the iPad screen towards the center to quickly open a new memo.

Palm Rejection & Tilt Function

The stylus supports palm rejection, allowing you to rest your hand comfortably on the iPad screen while writing or drawing without creating unwanted marks. The tilt function enables you to vary line thickness and shading by simply tilting the pen, mimicking a traditional pencil.

Maintenance

Replacing Pen Tips

The Zspeed Stylus Pen comes with two replacement tips. If your current tip becomes worn or damaged, follow these steps to replace it:

  1. Gently twist the old pen tip counter-clockwise to remove it.
  2. Align a new replacement tip with the pen's thread.
  3. Twist the new tip clockwise until it is securely fastened. Do not overtighten.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Zspeed Stylus Pen, try the following solutions:

  • Pen Not Responding:
    • Ensure the pen is powered on (long press top for 3 seconds).
    • Check if the pen is charged. Recharge if necessary.
    • Verify Bluetooth connection in your iPad settings. If not connected, try re-pairing.
    • Ensure your iPad model is compatible (refer to Compatibility Check section).
  • Magnetic Charging Not Working:
    • Confirm your iPad model supports magnetic wireless charging for this stylus (iPad Pro 12.9" 3rd-6th Gen, iPad Pro 11" 1st-4th Gen, iPad Air 4th/5th Gen, iPad Mini 6th Gen).
    • Ensure the pen is correctly aligned and securely attached to the magnetic strip on your iPad.
    • Remove any thick iPad cases that might interfere with magnetic contact.
  • Inaccurate or Skipping Input:
    • Check if the pen tip is securely tightened. A loose tip can cause inconsistent input.
    • Replace the pen tip if it appears worn or damaged.
    • Ensure your iPad screen is clean and free of debris.
  • Battery Percentage Not Displaying:
    • Confirm the stylus is successfully paired via Bluetooth (refer to Bluetooth Pairing section).
    • Restart your iPad and try re-pairing the stylus.
