2. Setup and Installation

The MakeFit Filtered Shower Head is designed for quick and easy, tool-free installation. Follow these steps to install your new shower head:

  1. Prepare the Shower Arm: Ensure your existing shower arm is clean and free of any old sealant or debris.
  2. Apply Teflon Tape: Wrap the included Teflon tape (Extra Rubber Washer x 1, Filtered Shower Head x 1, Instructions x 1, Teflon Tape x 1) clockwise around the threads of your shower arm 3-5 times. This helps prevent leaks.
  3. Attach the Shower Head: Hand-tighten the MakeFit Filtered Shower Head onto the taped shower arm. Do not use tools, as overtightening can damage the threads.
  4. Check for Leaks: Turn on the water and check for any leaks. If leaks occur, tighten slightly more by hand or reapply Teflon tape.

4. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your MakeFit Filtered Shower Head.

Filter Replacement:

The transparent shower water filter cartridge allows you to visually monitor its condition. It is recommended to replace the filter cartridge every 6 months, or sooner if you notice a decrease in water pressure or quality.

  1. Unscrew the Shower Head: Gently twist the shower head counter-clockwise to detach it from the shower arm.
  2. Remove Old Filter: Unscrew the bottom part of the shower head to access the filter cartridge. Remove the used cartridge.
  3. Insert New Filter: Place a new MakeFit filter cartridge into the shower head, ensuring it is seated correctly.
  4. Reassemble: Screw the bottom part back onto the shower head, then reattach the entire unit to the shower arm. Hand-tighten only.
