4.2 Positioning the Antenna
Optimal antenna placement is crucial for signal reception. Consider the following:
- Window Placement: Placing the antenna on or near a window often yields the best results as it minimizes obstructions.
- Wall Placement: If a window is not feasible, try placing it high on a wall.
- Behind the TV / On the Table: These locations may work but might result in weaker signals depending on your proximity to broadcast towers and surrounding obstacles.

Use online tools or apps to locate broadcast towers in your area to help determine the best direction for your antenna.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Scanning for Channels
- After connecting and positioning the antenna, turn on your television.
- Access your TV's menu and navigate to 'Channel Scan', 'Auto Program', or 'Auto Tune'. The exact name may vary by TV model.
- Select 'Antenna' or 'Air' as the input source, not 'Cable'.
- Initiate the channel scan. This process may take several minutes.
- Once the scan is complete, your TV will display the available channels.
Note: Always rescan for channels if you move the antenna to a new location or if you experience signal loss.
5.2 Using the Amplifier Smart Switch
The amplifier features a Smart Switch with 'Short Range' and 'Long Range' settings. Adjust this switch based on your distance from broadcast towers:
- Short Range: Use this setting if you are close to broadcast towers (typically within 35 miles) to prevent signal overload.
- Long Range: Use this setting if you are further away from broadcast towers (up to 600 miles) to boost weaker signals.
Experiment with both settings to find the one that provides the best reception for your location.

6. Maintenance
- Clean the antenna surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
- Ensure the coaxial cable is not bent sharply or pinched, as this can damage the internal wiring and affect signal quality.
- Regularly check all connections to ensure they are secure.
