1. Introduction

2. Safety Guidelines

• Do not exceed the specified weight capacity for the daybed (500 lbs) and trundle bed (400 lbs).
• Ensure all anti-slip foot pads are correctly installed to protect floors from scratches and prevent movement.

4. Assembly Instructions

Please refer to the following video and step-by-step guide for detailed assembly. It is recommended to not fully tighten all screws until the entire frame is assembled to allow for proper alignment.

Step-by-Step Guide:

1. Assemble the Daybed Base:

   Begin by connecting the main side rails (parts 7) to the headboard and footboard sections (parts 1, 2, 4, 5, 6). Use the provided screws (type 'a' and 'b') and tools. Ensure all connections are loosely fitted at this stage.

2. Install Daybed Slats:

   Insert the steel slats (parts 9, 10) into the designated slots on the daybed frame. Secure them with the appropriate screws (type 'a') as indicated in the manual. Once all slats are in place, you can proceed to tighten the frame connections from step 1.

3. Assemble the Trundle Frame:

   Connect the trundle frame components (parts 4, 5, 6) using screws (type 'b'). Attach the middle support legs (part 8) to the trundle frame. Ensure these connections are also loosely fitted initially.

4. Attach Trundle Casters:

   Secure the 4 lockable casters to the bottom of the trundle frame. Make sure they are firmly attached to allow for smooth movement and secure locking.

5. Install Trundle Slats:

   Place the remaining steel slats into the trundle frame. Once all slats are in position, fully tighten all screws on the trundle frame.

6. Final Tightening and Placement:

   Once both the daybed and trundle frames are fully assembled and all slats are in place, go back and securely tighten all screws on both units. Place the trundle under the daybed. Ensure the anti-slip foot pads are on all legs of the daybed.

5. Operating the Daybed and Trundle

The Giantex Metal Twin Daybed with Trundle offers flexible sleeping and seating arrangements:

• Daybed Configuration: Use the main bed as a comfortable sofa by adding pillows against the back and side rails.

• Extending the Trundle: To use the trundle bed, unlock the casters and gently pull the trundle frame out from underneath the main daybed.

• Locking the Trundle: Once the trundle is in the desired position, engage the locks on all four casters to prevent unwanted movement and ensure stability.
• Retracting the Trundle: To store the trundle, unlock the casters, push the trundle back under the daybed, and then re-engage the caster locks to keep it securely in place.

Recommended mattress thickness for the upper bed is 6"-8", and for the trundle is 4"-6".
