Operating Instructions
Brewing Coffee:
- Ensure the coffee maker is unplugged and cool.
- Open the top lid and remove the permanent filter from the filter basket.
- Add your desired amount of ground coffee into the permanent filter. A general guideline is one tablespoon of ground coffee per cup (150ml). Adjust to taste.
- Place the permanent filter back into the filter basket and close the top lid securely.
- Fill the water tank with fresh, cold water using the glass carafe. Refer to the water level indicator on the side of the coffee maker for desired cups. Do not exceed the 'MAX' level.
- Place the glass carafe with its lid on the heating plate. Ensure it is properly seated to activate the anti-drip mechanism.
- Plug the coffee maker into a suitable 220-240V power outlet.
- Press the power button (usually illuminated) to begin the brewing process. The indicator light will turn on.
- The coffee will begin to drip into the carafe. The anti-drip system allows you to temporarily remove the carafe during brewing to pour a cup, but do not remove it for more than 30 seconds to prevent overflow.
- Once brewing is complete, the coffee maker will automatically switch to the 'keep warm' function, which lasts for approximately 30 minutes. The indicator light will remain on.
- After 30 minutes, the coffee maker will automatically shut off.
- Unplug the appliance when not in use.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your coffee maker.
Daily Cleaning:
- Always unplug the coffee maker and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Remove the permanent filter and discard used coffee grounds. Rinse the permanent filter thoroughly under running water.
- Wash the glass carafe and its lid in warm, soapy water. Rinse well and dry. These parts are generally top-rack dishwasher safe, but hand washing is recommended for longevity.
- Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Wipe the heating plate with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

Descaling (Monthly or as needed):
Mineral deposits from water can build up in your coffee maker and affect its performance. Descale regularly, especially in areas with hard water.
- Fill the water tank with a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:2 ratio, e.g., 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water).
- Place the permanent filter (empty) and carafe in position.
- Run a brewing cycle with the vinegar solution.
- After the cycle, let the coffee maker sit for 15-30 minutes with the solution inside.
- Discard the solution and rinse the carafe and filter.
- Fill the water tank with clean water and run 2-3 full brewing cycles to rinse out any remaining vinegar smell or taste.
