5. Setup and Installation

Proper installation ensures optimal performance and safety of your VEVOR Retractable Hose Reel. The unit features a 180° swivel bracket for flexible positioning.

5.1 Choosing a Location

Select a sturdy wall or post near your water source. The bracket can be mounted on brick, concrete, wood, or stone surfaces. Ensure there is enough clearance for the hose reel to swivel freely (180°).

5.2 Mounting the Bracket

1. Position the metal bracket on your chosen surface and mark the drilling points.
2. Drill pilot holes appropriate for the included screws and your wall material.
3. Securely fasten the bracket to the wall using the provided screws. Ensure it is firmly attached and does not wobble.

5.3 Attaching the Hose Reel

1. Align the hose reel with the mounted bracket.
2. Slide the hose reel onto the bracket's pin.
3. Insert the cotter pin (if applicable, check manual for specific model) to secure the hose reel to the bracket, preventing accidental removal.

5.4 Connecting to Water Source

1. Connect the lead-in hose (short hose from the reel) to your outdoor water faucet.
2. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks. Use the provided leak-proof washers if necessary.
3. Attach your desired nozzle (9-pattern or general) to the end of the main hose.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Extending the Hose

Gently pull the hose from the reel to the desired length. You will hear a clicking sound as the hose extends. To lock the hose at a specific length, pull it slightly further until you hear a click, then slowly release it. The hose will remain extended.

6.2 Using the Nozzle

The included 9-pattern nozzle allows you to select various spray types for different applications. Rotate the nozzle head to switch between patterns such as jet, soaker, angle, flat, cone, shower, center, rinse, and mist.

6.3 Retracting the Hose

To retract the hose, pull it gently again until the locking mechanism disengages (you will hear a click). Then, slowly guide the hose back into the reel. The automatic slow rewind system will ensure a smooth and controlled retraction, preventing tangles and sudden snaps.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance will prolong the life of your VEVOR Retractable Hose Reel.

• Cleaning: Wipe down the hose and reel casing with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. Avoid using harsh chemicals.
• Hose Inspection: Periodically inspect the hose for any signs of wear, cracks, or leaks. Replace the hose if significant damage is found.
• Winter Storage: Before the first frost, disconnect the hose reel from the water source. Drain all water from the hose and the reel. Store the unit in a dry, freeze-proof location, such as a garage or shed. The reel can be easily detached from its wall bracket for storage.
