This manual will guide you through the setup, operation, and maintenance of your weather station to ensure optimal performance.

4. Setup

4.1 Main Display Unit Setup

  1. Power Connection: Insert the included AC power adapter into the DC 5V port on the back of the main unit and plug it into a wall outlet.
  2. Battery Installation (Optional): For backup power or temporary use, open the battery compartment on the back of the main unit and insert 3 x AAA batteries (not included), observing polarity.

4.2 Remote Sensor Setup

  1. Open the battery compartment on the back of each remote sensor.
  2. Insert 2 x AAA batteries (not included) into each sensor, ensuring correct polarity.
  3. Select a channel (1, 2, or 3) for each sensor using the channel switch inside the battery compartment. Ensure each sensor uses a unique channel.
  4. Close the battery compartment covers.

4.3 Sensor Pairing

Once batteries are installed in both the main unit and remote sensors, the main unit will automatically search for and connect to the sensors. The outdoor temperature and humidity readings for each channel will appear on the display. If a sensor does not connect, press the 'CH' button on the main unit to cycle through channels or press and hold the 'CH' button to initiate a new search.

5. Operation

5.1 Display Overview

The 5-inch LCD display is divided into several sections:

  • Top Left: Indoor temperature and humidity.
  • Top Right: Time, date, and day.
  • Middle: Weather forecast icons.
  • Bottom: Outdoor temperature and humidity for up to three remote sensors (Channels 1, 2, 3).

5.2 Time and Date Setting

  1. Press and hold the 'SET' button to enter time setting mode.
  2. Use the 'UP' or 'DOWN' buttons (often combined with other buttons like 'ALARM' or 'C/F') to adjust the flashing value.
  3. Press 'SET' again to confirm the setting and move to the next item (e.g., 12/24 hour format, hour, minute, year, month, day).
  4. Exit setting mode by pressing 'SET' after the last item or by waiting for 20 seconds without input.

5.3 Temperature and Humidity Display

Press the 'C/F' button to switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) temperature units.

5.4 Weather Forecast Function

The weather station predicts weather fluctuations for the next 24-48 hours based on atmospheric pressure changes. The display shows icons for Sunny, Partly Cloudy, Cloudy, and Rainy conditions. This is a prediction and may not always reflect current weather.

5.5 Alarm and Snooze Function

  1. Press the 'ALARM' button once to display the alarm time.
  2. Press and hold 'ALARM' to enter alarm setting mode. Adjust the hour and minute using the 'UP' or 'DOWN' buttons and confirm with 'ALARM'.
  3. To activate/deactivate the alarm, press 'ALARM' repeatedly until the alarm icon appears/disappears.
  4. When the alarm sounds, press any button (except 'ALARM') to activate snooze, or press 'ALARM' to turn off the alarm for 24 hours.

5.6 Adjustable Backlight

The main unit features 3 levels of backlight brightness. Press the 'LIGHT' button (or similar button, refer to device for exact label) to cycle through brightness levels (100%, 75%, 50%). If powered by batteries only, the backlight will turn off after 10 seconds to conserve power. For continuous backlight, use the AC power adapter.

5.7 Comfort Indicator

The display includes a comfort indicator based on indoor humidity levels:

  • DRY: Relative Humidity (RH) < 45%
  • COMFORTABLE: 45% < RH < 65%
  • WET: RH > 65%

5.8 Max/Min Records

The weather station automatically records the maximum and minimum temperature and humidity values for both indoor and outdoor sensors. These records typically clear every 24 hours or can be cleared manually by pressing a designated button (refer to device for exact label, often 'MAX/MIN').

6. Placement Guidelines

6.1 Main Display Unit

The main unit can be placed on a flat surface using its built-in stand or mounted on a wall using the hanging hole on the back. Choose a central location indoors, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or drafts, to ensure accurate indoor readings.

6.2 Remote Sensors

Place remote sensors in desired outdoor or indoor locations such as a garden, greenhouse, baby room, kitchen, or wine cellar. For outdoor placement, choose a shaded area protected from direct rain and sunlight to ensure accurate readings and prolong sensor life. Ensure sensors are within the 330ft (100m) transmission range of the main unit, minimizing obstructions like thick walls or metal structures.

7. Power Supply

The Urageuxy U012WS0852T Weather Station offers two power supply options:

  • AC Power Adapter (Included): Recommended for continuous operation and to keep the backlight on constantly.
  • Batteries (Not Included): 3 x AAA batteries for the main unit and 2 x AAA batteries for each remote sensor. When operating on batteries only, the backlight will automatically turn off after 10 seconds to save power.
