1. Safety Information

Please read and understand all instructions before assembling and using the KoolerThings 3-in-1 Baby Bassinet, Bedside Sleeper, and Playpen. Failure to follow these instructions could result in serious injury or death.

• Suffocation Hazard: Infants can suffocate in gaps between an extra mattress and the side of the bassinet/sleeper, or on soft bedding. Use ONLY the mattress provided by the manufacturer. NEVER add a pillow, comforter, or another mattress for padding.
• Fall Hazard: To prevent falls, do not use this product once the infant begins to push up on hands and knees, or has reached 20 lbs (9 kg), or is 5 months old, whichever comes first.
• Strangulation Hazard: Keep cords, straps, and loose items away from the bassinet/sleeper. Never place the product near a window where cords from blinds or drapes could strangle a child.
• Ensure all assembly fasteners are securely tightened before use. Periodically check for loose fasteners.
• Do not use if any parts are missing, damaged, or broken. Contact customer support for replacement parts.
• Always engage the brakes on the wheels when the bassinet/sleeper is stationary.
• When used as a bedside sleeper, ensure the bassinet is securely attached to the adult bed with the provided straps and there are no gaps between the bassinet and the adult mattress.

2. Product Overview

The KoolerThings 3-in-1 Baby Bassinet, Bedside Sleeper, and Playpen is designed for versatility and convenience, offering a safe and comfortable sleeping and playing environment for your infant. It easily converts between three modes:

• Standalone Bassinet: A portable crib for independent use in any room.
• Bedside Sleeper: Attaches securely to your adult bed, allowing close proximity for nighttime care.
• Baby Playpen: Provides a safe enclosed space for supervised play.

3. Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your KoolerThings 3-in-1 Bassinet. No tools are required for assembly.

1. Unpack Components: Remove all parts from the packaging. Verify all components are present according to the packing list.
2. Assemble Frame: Extend the main frame legs until they click into place. Ensure all locking mechanisms are engaged.
3. Attach Bassinet Fabric: Slide the bassinet fabric over the frame, ensuring the mesh sides are correctly oriented. Secure the fabric to the frame using the integrated fasteners (zippers, snaps, or Velcro, as applicable).
4. Insert Mattress: Place the provided mattress into the bassinet base. Ensure it fits snugly without gaps.
5. Install Wheels: Insert the wheels into the designated slots on the frame legs. Push firmly until they click into place. Engage the wheel brakes for stability during initial setup.
6. Final Check: Before first use, ensure all parts are securely assembled and there are no loose components.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Standalone Bassinet Mode

In this mode, the bassinet functions as a portable sleeping space for your baby. Ensure the wheels are locked when stationary.

4.2 Bedside Sleeper Mode

This mode allows the bassinet to be placed directly next to your bed, providing easy access to your baby.

1. Lower Side Panel: Locate the zipper on one of the long mesh sides of the bassinet. Unzip and lower the side panel.
2. Adjust Height: Use the height adjustment mechanisms on the legs to match the height of your adult mattress. There are five adjustable levels.
3. Position Bassinet: Push the bassinet flush against your adult bed. Ensure there are no gaps between the bassinet mattress and your adult mattress.
4. Secure with Straps: Utilize the provided attachment straps. Pass the straps under your adult mattress and secure them to the bassinet frame on the opposite side. Tighten the straps to ensure the bassinet is firmly attached to your bed and cannot move away.
5. Engage Brakes: Always engage the wheel brakes when in bedside sleeper mode.

4.3 Baby Playpen Mode

When your baby is awake and needs a safe space to play, the bassinet can be converted into a playpen. Ensure the side panel is zipped up and secured.

4.4 Height Adjustment

The bassinet features five adjustable height levels. To adjust, locate the adjustment buttons on each leg. Press the buttons and slide the legs up or down to the desired height. Ensure both sides are adjusted to the same level for a flat sleeping surface, unless intentionally tilting for specific needs (e.g., reflux, under medical supervision).

4.5 Wheel Usage and Portability

The built-in silent universal wheels allow for easy movement between rooms. Each wheel is equipped with a brake. To move the bassinet, disengage the brakes. To secure it in place, engage the brakes on all wheels.

For travel, the bassinet can be easily folded and stored in the included carry bag.

5. Care and Maintenance

• Cleaning: The manufacturer recommends hand washing for the fabric components. Use mild soap and cold water. Do not use bleach or harsh detergents. Allow to air dry completely.
• Frame Cleaning: Wipe the metal and plastic parts of the frame with a damp cloth and mild soap. Dry thoroughly.
• Mattress Care: The mattress should be spot cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap. Ensure it is completely dry before placing it back in the bassinet.
• Storage: When not in use, store the bassinet in a clean, dry place, preferably in its original carry bag, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Regular Inspection: Periodically check all parts for wear, damage, or loose fasteners. Discontinue use if any damage is found and contact customer support for replacement parts.
