1. Introduction

The eHoodax-X20 is designed for adult riders, featuring a powerful 3000W motor, a 60V lithium battery system, and a robust alloy steel frame. It is built for urban commuting and offers a comfortable riding experience with its large seats and dual suspension.

2. Safety Information

Your safety is paramount. Operating an electric scooter carries inherent risks. Always follow these safety guidelines:

  • Always wear a helmet and appropriate safety gear, including knee and elbow pads.
  • Ensure all components are securely fastened and in good working order before each ride.
  • Do not ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Observe all local traffic laws and regulations.
  • Avoid riding in adverse weather conditions, such as heavy rain or snow.
  • Maintain a safe distance from other vehicles and pedestrians.
  • Do not exceed the maximum weight limit of 440 pounds (200 kg).

4. Setup and Assembly

4.1 Unpacking and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any signs of damage during transit. If any parts are missing or damaged, contact customer support immediately.

4.2 Handlebar Installation

Attach the handlebars to the steering column. Ensure they are aligned correctly and tighten all bolts securely using the provided tools. The handlebar height is adjustable; set it to a comfortable position for riding.

4.3 Battery Installation and Charging

The eHoodax-X20 features a removable battery for convenient charging and security.

  1. Locate the battery compartment, typically under the seat or floorboard.
  2. Insert the 60V lithium battery pack into the compartment. Ensure it clicks into place or is securely fastened.
  3. Connect the charger to the scooter's charging port, then plug the charger into a standard wall outlet.
  4. Allow the battery to fully charge before the first use. The charger indicator light will change from red to green when charging is complete.
  5. Always use the original eHoodax charger.

4.4 Mirror and Light Installation

Attach the mirrors to the designated mounts on the handlebars. Ensure they provide a clear view of the rear. Install the front and rear lights if they are not pre-installed, connecting them to the scooter's wiring harness as instructed in the quick start guide (if provided).

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off

To power on the scooter, insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the 'ON' position. The LCD display will illuminate. To power off, turn the key to the 'OFF' position and remove it.

5.2 Understanding the LCD Display

The LCD display provides crucial information about your ride:

  • Speed: Displays your current riding speed.
  • 1-2-3 Gear: Indicates the selected power mode or speed limit. Adjust using the controls on the handlebar.
  • Battery Level: Shows the remaining battery charge. Charge when low.
  • Turn Signal: Indicates when the turn signals are active.
  • Driven Distance: Tracks the total distance traveled.

5.3 Riding the Scooter

  1. Ensure the kickstand is up.
  2. Sit comfortably on the seat.
  3. Gently twist the throttle to accelerate. Start slowly to get accustomed to the scooter's power.
  4. Use the handlebar controls for turn signals and horn as needed.
  5. To brake, gently squeeze the brake levers. The scooter is equipped with front and rear braking for effective stopping.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your eHoodax-X20 scooter.

6.1 Battery Care

  • Charge the battery regularly, even if not in use, to maintain its health.
  • Avoid completely draining the battery before recharging.
  • Store the battery in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
  • Do not expose the battery to extreme temperatures.

6.2 Tire Maintenance

The scooter is equipped with 18-inch pneumatic tires. Maintain proper tire pressure as specified on the tire sidewall or in the scooter's quick start guide. Regularly inspect tires for wear, punctures, or damage.

6.3 Brake System Check

Regularly check the front and rear braking systems for proper function. Ensure brake levers are responsive and brake pads are not excessively worn. Adjust or replace components as necessary.
