3. Setup Instructions
3.1 Initial Setup and Powering On
- Receiver Setup: Plug the receiver unit into a standard electrical outlet. The receiver will power on automatically.
- Call Button Battery Installation: The call button requires 3 AAA batteries (included). Use the provided small screwdriver to open the battery compartment, insert the batteries, and securely close the compartment.
- Watch Pager: The watch pager comes with a pre-installed battery and is ready for use.
3.2 Modifying Ringtone and Pairing
The system comes pre-paired with standard factory settings. If you wish to change the ringtone or re-pair units, follow these steps:

- Plug in Receiver: Ensure the receiver is plugged into a power socket.
- Select Ringtone: On the receiver, press the 'Forward' or 'Backward' buttons to cycle through the 20 available ringtones until you find your preferred sound.
- Enter Pairing Mode: Press and hold the 'Volume Control' button on the receiver until it makes a "ding-dong" sound. This indicates the receiver is in pairing mode.
- Pair Transmitter: While the receiver is in pairing mode, press the call button on the watch pager or the separate call button. The receiver will make another "ding-dong" sound, confirming successful pairing.
3.3 Call Button Installation Options
The call button can be used in various ways for convenience and accessibility:
- Wear Around Neck: Attach the included lanyard to the call button for easy access.
- Wear on Wrist: The watch pager is designed to be worn on the wrist.
- Fix on Wall: Use the provided 3M double-sided patch to affix the call button to a wall, such as in a bathroom or by a bedside. The call button unit is splash-proof (IP55 rated).

4. Operating Instructions
Using the Daytech Caregiver Pager System is straightforward:
- Initiating a Call: When assistance is needed, simply press the large 'SOS' button on the watch pager or the 'CALL' button on the separate call button.
- Receiving an Alert: The paired receiver(s) will sound the selected ringtone and may flash an indicator light, alerting the caregiver.
- Adjusting Volume: The receiver has a volume control button to adjust the alert sound level. There are 5 volume levels available, up to 110 dB.

The system offers a working range of up to 100ft/30m indoors, allowing caregivers freedom of movement within the home.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Battery Replacement for Call Button
The call button is powered by 3 AAA batteries. When the signal weakens or the button stops responding, it's time to replace the batteries. Use the provided small screwdriver to open the back cover, replace the old batteries with new ones, and secure the cover.

5.2 General Care
- Keep the devices clean by wiping them with a soft, dry cloth.
- Avoid exposing the watch pager and call button to excessive moisture or immersion in water. While the call button is splash-proof, it is not designed for submersion.
- Store the system in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
6. Troubleshooting
- No Alert from Receiver:
- Ensure the receiver is properly plugged into a working electrical outlet.
- Check if the call button or watch pager battery needs replacement.
- Verify that the call button/watch pager is paired with the receiver (refer to Section 3.2).
- Ensure the devices are within the operational range (up to 100ft/30m). Walls and other obstacles can reduce range.
- Weak Signal or Intermittent Alerts:
- Relocate the receiver to a more central location or closer to the user.
- Check for potential interference from other electronic devices.
- Replace batteries in the call button/watch pager.
- Ringtone Not Changing:
- Follow the ringtone selection steps carefully (Section 3.2).
- Ensure you are pressing the correct 'Forward' or 'Backward' buttons.
