5. Setup & Installation
Follow these steps carefully for correct installation:
- Identify Front and Rear Bars: The front cross bar is longer than the rear cross bar. Ensure correct placement.
- Assemble End Supports: Attach the end supports to each cross bar using the provided screws. Do not fully tighten the screws at this stage to allow for adjustment. The pointy end of the cross bar should face the rear of your car.
- Adjust Length: The length of the cross bars can be adjusted by sliding the end supports along the bar. Ensure the correct length for your vehicle's roof rails.
- Unlock Covers: Use the provided key to unlock and open the plastic covers on the end supports. This will expose the mounting mechanism.
- Loosen Clamps: Loosen the screws inside the end supports to allow the lower clamp to move freely.
- Position on Roof Rails: Place the assembled cross bars onto your vehicle's flush roof rails. Ensure the front bar is positioned correctly towards the front of the vehicle and the rear bar towards the rear.
- Secure to Roof Rails: Move the lower clamp into position under the side rail. Use the Allen key to tighten the screws, securing the cross bar firmly to the roof rail. Repeat for all four end supports.
- Lock Covers: Once all cross bars are securely fastened, replace the lock mechanism and lock the covers using the key. This provides anti-theft security.

6. Operating Instructions
- Load Distribution: Distribute cargo weight evenly across the cross bars. Avoid concentrating heavy loads in one area.
- Secure Cargo: Always use appropriate tie-downs, straps, or nets to secure your cargo to the cross bars. Ensure items are tightly fastened to prevent shifting or falling during transit.
- Check Clearance: Before driving, especially in areas with low overhead clearance (e.g., garages, carports), verify the total height of your vehicle with the loaded roof rack.
- Driving Speed: Reduce your speed, especially in windy conditions or when carrying large, bulky items, to maintain vehicle stability.
- Regular Checks: Periodically check the tightness of all mounting hardware and cargo tie-downs during long trips.

7. Maintenance
- Clean Regularly: Clean the cross bars with mild soap and water to remove dirt, road grime, and salt, which can cause corrosion.
- Inspect Hardware: Periodically inspect all screws, bolts, and mounting points for tightness and signs of wear or damage. Tighten any loose fasteners.
- Lubrication: If any moving parts become stiff, apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant.
- Storage: If not in use for extended periods, consider removing the cross bars and storing them in a dry, protected area to prolong their lifespan.
8. Troubleshooting
- Excessive Wind Noise: Ensure all components are tightly secured. The low-profile design is intended to minimize noise, but improper installation or loose parts can increase it. Check that the rubber strips on top of the bars are properly seated.
- Loose Fit: Re-check all mounting screws and ensure they are tightened according to the installation instructions. Verify that the cross bars are correctly adjusted to your vehicle's roof rail width.
- Difficulty Locking: Ensure the covers are correctly aligned before attempting to lock them. Do not force the key. If the mechanism is stiff, a small amount of lubricant may help.
9. Safety Guidelines
- Do not exceed the maximum load capacity of 220 lbs (100 KG).
- Always ensure cargo is securely fastened to prevent movement during travel.
- Avoid sudden maneuvers, braking, or acceleration when carrying cargo on the roof rack.
- Regularly check the security of the roof rack and cargo, especially before and during long journeys.
- Be aware of increased vehicle height and width when driving with a loaded roof rack.
