1. Introduction

This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and effective operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your GOYOJO Portable Veterinary Ultrasound Machine. This device is designed for pregnancy testing and reproductive analysis in various animals, including cattle, horses, camels, equines, and cows, utilizing a 7.5 MHz rectal-linear probe.

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the device using the provided power adapter. The 2600mAh battery provides approximately 3 hours of continuous operation. Connect the adapter to the charging port on the device and plug it into a suitable power outlet. The charging indicator will show the charging status.

4.2 Attaching the Probe

Carefully connect the 7.5 MHz rectal-linear probe to the designated port on the main unit. Ensure a secure connection to prevent signal loss during operation. Different probes are available for various animals; ensure the correct probe is used for the intended application.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On and Initializing

Press the power button to turn on the device. The system will perform a self-check and display the main interface. The operating interface supports multiple languages including Chinese, English, French, Russian, Spanish, and Portuguese.

5.2 Basic Operation Modes

The device supports various display modes: B, BB, 4B, BM, and M. Select the appropriate mode for your examination. Use the control panel to adjust settings such as total gain (0-255), near-field gain (-31-0), and far-field gain (0-31).

5.3 Electronic Focus and Image Adjustment

The electronic focus features four segments with adjustable focus positions. Image mirroring (left/right, up/down flip) and image post-processing (0-3), edge enhancement (0-3), brightness (0-31), image optimization (0-12), frame correlation (0-3), and contrast (0-63) can be adjusted for optimal image quality. The device also offers 24 kinds of pseudo-color processing.

5.4 Performing Examinations

Apply ultrasound gel to the probe and the animal's skin in the examination area. Gently place the probe on the animal and move it to obtain the desired image. The device includes body markers (≥12 kinds) with adjustable probe body positions to aid in accurate scanning.

Specific Usage Example: Pig Pregnancy Test

For primiparous and early gestation sows, place the probe approximately 5cm between the penultimate nipple and the third nipple. Adjust the probe at an angle of about 45 degrees towards the neck push direction. For multiparous sows in late gestation, where the uterus is closer to the abdominal wall, measurements can be taken between the third and fourth nipples from the bottom.

5.5 Measurement Functions

The device supports various measurements including distance, perimeter, area, and obstetrics. Specific animal measurement packages are available:

Back fat measurement is available in 2 modes: automatic and manual. Grid adjustment with 2 types of spacing and 15 colors is also supported.

5.6 Image and Video Management

The device features 32GB of permanent storage for images and supports movie playback of up to 255 frames, with options for continuous playback or frame-by-frame viewing. Images can be stored and retrieved as needed.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning and Disinfection

Regularly clean the probe and the main unit with a soft, damp cloth. For disinfection, use veterinary-approved disinfectants suitable for ultrasound equipment. Ensure no liquid enters the device openings. Allow all components to dry completely before storage or next use.

6.2 Battery Care

To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods, and ensure it has a partial charge (around 50%).

6.3 Storage

Store the ultrasound machine and its accessories in their original packaging or a protective case to prevent damage from dust, impacts, and environmental factors.
