Setup

1. Battery Installation

The safe requires 4 AA batteries (not included) for the electronic keypad to function. Install them before first use.

  1. Open the safe door using the emergency key (refer to 'Opening the Safe for the First Time' section if needed).
  2. Locate the battery compartment on the inside of the safe door.
  3. Insert 4 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close the battery compartment cover.

2. Mounting the Safe

For optimal security, it is recommended to mount the safe to a solid surface such as a wall or floor.

  1. Choose a suitable location for mounting.
  2. Open the safe door and locate the pre-drilled mounting holes on the back or bottom panel.
  3. Mark the drilling points on the wall or floor through the holes.
  4. Drill pilot holes using an appropriate drill bit for your surface type.
  5. Align the safe with the drilled holes and secure it using the provided mounting screws.
  6. Ensure the safe is firmly attached and stable.

Operating Instructions

1. Opening the Safe for the First Time (Emergency Key)

Before setting your personal password, you will need to open the safe using the emergency key.

  1. Locate the keyhole cover on the electronic keypad.
  2. Remove the keyhole cover.
  3. Insert one of the emergency keys into the keyhole.
  4. Turn the key clockwise while simultaneously rotating the knob clockwise to open the door.
  5. Once open, remove the key and replace the keyhole cover.

2. Setting/Changing User Passwords

The safe allows you to set two different passwords. The default initial password is '159'.

  1. With the safe door open, press the red reset button located on the inside of the door (refer to Figure 5).
  2. The keypad will beep, and the indicator light will flash.
  3. Enter your desired new password (3-8 digits) on the keypad.
  4. Press the '#' key to confirm. The safe will beep twice, indicating successful password change.
  5. To set a second password, repeat steps 1-4.
  6. Test the new password with the door open before closing it.

3. Opening the Safe with Password

  1. Enter your programmed password on the keypad.
  2. Press the '#' key.
  3. The indicator light will turn green. Within 5 seconds, rotate the knob clockwise to open the door.

4. Emergency Opening (External Battery Compartment)

If the internal batteries are depleted and you cannot open the safe with your password, use the external battery compartment.

  1. Insert 4 AA batteries into the external battery compartment.
  2. Plug the external battery compartment's cable into the emergency power port on the keypad.
  3. Enter your password on the keypad and press '#'.
  4. Rotate the knob clockwise to open the door.
  5. Once open, replace the internal batteries immediately.

Troubleshooting
