2. Safety Information

Your safety is paramount. Adhere to all safety guidelines to prevent injury or damage to the hot tub.

2.1 Electrical Safety

  • The Montreal hot tub is a 'Plug & Play' model, designed to connect to a standard electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet is properly grounded and rated for the hot tub's power requirements.
  • Do not use extension cords.
  • Keep all electrical components dry.

2.2 Water Safety

  • Maintain proper water chemistry to prevent skin irritation and equipment damage.
  • Do not exceed recommended water temperature (typically 40°C / 104°F).

3.2 Electrical Connection

The Montreal hot tub is a 'Plug & Play' unit. Simply plug the power cord into a dedicated, grounded 13-amp outdoor electrical outlet. No special wiring is typically required.

3.3 Filling the Hot Tub

  1. Ensure all drain valves are closed.
  2. Place a garden hose into the filter compartment to prevent airlocks.
  3. Fill the hot tub with fresh water until the water level is above the highest jets but below the pillows.

3.4 Initial Start-Up

Once filled, plug in the hot tub. The pump will automatically begin to circulate water and the heater will activate to reach the set temperature. Allow several hours for the water to heat.

4. Operating the Hot Tub

5. Maintenance

5.1 Water Chemistry

Test your hot tub water regularly (daily or every other day) using test strips. Maintain balanced levels for pH, alkalinity, and sanitizer (e.g., chlorine or bromine) according to recommended guidelines. Adjust as necessary using appropriate spa chemicals.

5.2 Filter Cleaning and Replacement
