3. Setup

3.1 Charging the Power Bank

Before first use, fully charge the power bank. Connect the provided USB cable to the charge port on the device and plug the other end into a USB wall adapter or computer USB port. The power indicator lights will illuminate to show charging progress and turn solid when fully charged.

3.2 Inserting a Memory Card

The device requires a mini SD card (8GB-64GB, not included) for recording. Locate the Micro SD Card Slot on the device. Gently insert the mini SD card into the slot until it clicks into place. Ensure the card is inserted in the correct direction. If using a new or larger capacity card (e.g., 64GB), it may need to be formatted to FAT32 on a computer before use. Refer to your computer's operating system instructions for formatting a drive.

3.3 Initial Power On

To power on the camera function, long press the Power/REC Button for 3 seconds. The red LED will turn on, indicating the device is in standby mode and ready for operation.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Taking a Photo

While the device is in standby mode (red LED on), short press the Power/REC Button once. The red LED will flash once, indicating a photo has been taken and saved. The device will then return to standby mode.

4.2 Recording Video

To start recording, ensure the device is in standby mode (red LED on). Long press the Power/REC Button for 2 seconds until the red LED starts flashing. Release the button; the flashing red LED indicates that video recording has begun. The red LED will then turn off to ensure discreet operation.

To stop recording and save the video file, short press the Power/REC Button for 3 seconds during recording. The red LED will flash, and the device will return to standby mode. The camera automatically saves video every 20 minutes into a new file.

4.3 Night Vision Mode

The device is equipped with two infrared lights for night vision. To activate night vision during recording, short press the Power/REC Button once. To turn off night vision, short press the button again. For hidden purposes, there is no indicator to show whether night vision lights are on. You can use your phone's front-facing camera to check if the infrared lights are active.

4.4 Connecting to a Computer

To view recorded videos and photos, or to charge the power bank, connect the device to a computer using a data cable. Plug the data cable into the USB Port (PC Connect) on the device and the other end into your computer's USB port. The device will appear as a removable disk drive. Some computers may not support direct connection for file viewing.

4.5 Powering Off

To turn off the camera function, long press the Power/REC Button until the red LED flashes 5 times, then release the button. The device will power off.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the device frequently. Charge it regularly, even if not in use, to maintain battery health.
  • Memory Card: Periodically back up important recordings from the memory card to your computer and format the card to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Device not turning on: Ensure the device is sufficiently charged. Connect it to a power source and allow it to charge for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on again.
  • Not recording:
    • Check if a mini SD card is properly inserted.
    • Ensure the SD card has sufficient free space.
    • Format the SD card on a computer if it's new or has been used in other devices.
    • Verify that the recording procedure (long press for 2 seconds until LED flashes) is followed correctly.
  • Poor video/photo quality:
    • Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from smudges or dust.
    • Check lighting conditions. While it has night vision, extremely dark environments may still affect clarity.
  • Device not recognized by computer:
    • Try a different USB port on your computer.
    • Use the original or a high-quality data transfer USB cable.
    • Restart your computer and try connecting again.
  • Power bank not charging external devices: Ensure the power bank itself is charged. Check the connection cable between the power bank and the external device.
