2. Safety Information

Always adhere to local regulations and safety standards during installation and operation. Incorrect installation or use can lead to property damage, injury, or death.

  • Ensure the main power supply is disconnected before any installation, maintenance, or repair work.
  • Installation must be performed by a qualified professional.
  • Do not operate the water heater if it is damaged or malfunctioning.
  • Keep flammable materials away from the water heater.
  • The water heater must be properly grounded.
  • Do not block the pressure relief valve.

3. Setup & Installation

The Regent 100L water heater is designed for vertical installation. Follow these steps carefully:

  1. Preparation: Before positioning the water heater, ensure the main water supply valve to the residence is closed. Identify the installation location, allowing approximately 50 cm of service area for maintenance and hose connections.
  2. Marking: Use a template (if provided in the packaging) or measure and mark the drilling points for the mounting brackets on the wall. Ensure the marks are level for a straight installation.
  3. Drilling: Drill holes at the marked points.
  4. Mounting: Insert wall plugs (not included) into the drilled holes and secure the mounting screws (not included) to fix the hanging brackets.
  5. Positioning: Carefully lift and hang the water heater onto the secured brackets.
  6. Water Connections: Once the water heater is hung, connect the safety valve to the cold water inlet pipe. Then, connect the dielectric sleeves (included) to both the inlet and outlet pipes to prevent corrosion. Ensure all connections are tight and use PTFE tape (not included) to guarantee no leaks.
  7. Filling: Open the hot and cold water taps in your home to allow air to escape and the water heater to fill completely. Once water flows steadily from the hot water tap, the tank is full.
  8. Electrical Connection: Once the water heater is filled with water, connect it to the electrical supply.

4. Operating Instructions

Your Regent 100L water heater is designed for user-friendly operation.

Temperature Adjustment

The electric water heater's temperature can be manually adjusted using the regulator located at the bottom of the unit. Rotate the dial to set your desired temperature. The thermometer, located on the upper front part of the unit, indicates the current water temperature.

Indicator Light

A red indicator light illuminates when the water heater is actively heating water, providing a visual cue of its operational status.

Water Pressure Control

The water pressure inside the tank can be manually controlled via the cam valve. Refer to the installation section for proper setup of this component.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficiency of your water heater.

  • Anode Inspection: The large magnesium anode is a consumable protective part that reacts with oxygen in the water, preventing corrosion of the tank. It should be inspected and replaced periodically by a qualified technician, typically every 1-2 years, depending on water quality.
  • Dielectric Sleeves: These sleeves prevent corrosion between copper pipes and the steel tank. Inspect them during anode replacement for any signs of wear or damage.
  • Pressure Relief Valve: Test the pressure relief valve annually to ensure it is not blocked and functions correctly. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for testing.
  • Descaling: In areas with hard water, scale buildup can reduce efficiency. Periodic descaling by a professional may be necessary. The titanium-enameled tank helps protect against corrosion and limescale.
  • Cleaning: Keep the exterior of the water heater clean with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
