5. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps carefully for proper installation. It is recommended to have at least two people for assembly due to the door's weight.

Figure 5.1: Step-by-Step Installation Overview

  1. Prepare the Opening: Measure your door opening accurately. Ensure the opening is clean and free of obstructions. Refer to Figure 4.1 for recommended door width and height relative to your opening.
  2. Assemble Door Panels: Install the hinges to connect the individual door panels. The panels are pre-drilled for convenience.
  3. Install the Track: Mount the track securely above the door opening. Ensure it is level and properly anchored to wall studs or a solid header. Refer to Figure 4.1 for the recommended track center hole to floor height.
  4. Install Pulley Bases: Attach the pulley bases to the top of the door panels as indicated in the instructions.
  5. Hang Pulleys: Attach the movable and fixed pulleys to the track. The adjustable rollers allow for ease of sliding.
  6. Install Floor Guide: Secure the floor guide to the floor directly below the track to ensure smooth door movement and stability.
  7. Attach Door Handle: Install the sliding door handle to the desired position on the door panel.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe door panels and glass with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that may damage the finish or glass. For frosted glass, use a mild glass cleaner if necessary.
  • Hardware: Periodically check all screws and fasteners to ensure they are tight. Lubricate the sliding track and rollers annually with a silicone-based lubricant to maintain smooth operation.
  • Glass: The tempered frosted glass is designed for durability. In case of accidental damage, contact a professional for replacement.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Door does not slide smoothly: Check the track for any obstructions or debris. Ensure rollers are clean and lubricated. Verify that the track is level and securely mounted.
  • Door panels do not align: Check hinge connections and ensure all hardware is properly installed and tightened. Adjust rollers if necessary.
  • Missing or damaged parts: If you discover any missing or damaged components upon arrival, do not proceed with installation. Contact SOLRIG customer support immediately for assistance.
