1. Introduction

This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the safe and efficient operation of your MH Series Electronic Digital Table Top Scale. 2. Safety Precautions

4. Setup and Initial Use

4.1. Battery Installation

The scale is powered by two AAA 1.5V batteries. Follow these steps to install them:

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

4.2. Initial Power On and Calibration

After installing batteries:

  1. Place the scale on a hard, flat, and stable surface to ensure accurate readings.
  2. Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the scale. The display will show "88888" and then "0.00" (or "0.0") when ready.
  3. If the display does not show "0.00", press the TARE button to zero the scale.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Basic Weighing

  1. Turn on the scale by pressing the ON/OFF button.
  2. Ensure the display shows "0.00" before placing any item. If not, press TARE.
  3. Gently place the item to be weighed on the center of the weighing platform.
  4. Read the stable weight displayed on the LCD screen.

5.2. Unit Conversion

The scale supports 5 weighing modes: grams (g), ounces (oz), carats (ct), pennyweights (tl), and grains (gn).

  • With the scale on, press the UNITS button repeatedly to cycle through the available units.
  • The selected unit will be indicated on the LCD display.

5.3. Tare Function

The Tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container, so you only measure the net weight of its contents.

  1. Place an empty container on the weighing platform. The display will show its weight.
  2. Press the TARE button. The display will reset to "0.00".
  3. Now, place the items you wish to weigh into the container. The display will show only the weight of the items.

5.4. Piece Counting Function (PCS)

This function allows you to count a large number of small, uniform items.

  1. Turn on the scale and ensure it reads "0.00".
  2. Press and hold the PCS button until "PCS" appears on the display, followed by a sample size (e.g., "25", "50", "75", "100").
  3. Press the UNITS button to select your desired sample size (e.g., 25, 50, 75, 100 pieces).
  4. Place the exact number of sample pieces (e.g., 25 pieces) onto the weighing platform.
  5. Press the PCS button again to confirm the sample. The display will now show "PCS" and the number of pieces.
  6. You can now add more items of the same type, and the scale will count them.
  7. To exit counting mode, press the UNITS button.

5.5. Backlight Control

Press the LIGHT button to toggle the blue backlight on or off, improving readability in various lighting conditions.

5.6. Auto-Off Function

To conserve battery life, the scale features an automatic shut-off function. If left idle for approximately 30 seconds (default), the scale will automatically turn off. This duration may be adjustable in some models (typically 60-180 seconds as per product features).

6. Maintenance and Care

  • Cleaning: Wipe the scale surface with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the scale in water.
  • Storage: Store the scale in a clean, dry place at room temperature. Keep the protective cover closed to prevent dust and damage to the weighing platform.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display or when the scale fails to power on.

7. Troubleshooting
