3. Setup and Component Installation

Before installing components, ensure the case is placed on a stable, flat surface. Remove the tempered glass side panels by unscrewing the thumb screws located at the rear of the case.

3.1 Motherboard Installation

  1. Identify the correct standoff positions for your ATX, M-ATX, or ITX motherboard.
  2. Secure the motherboard to the standoffs using the provided screws.

3.2 Power Supply Unit (PSU) Installation

The Spark Pro features a unique PSU mounting position, typically located at the top or in a less conventional area compared to standard cases. Carefully align your PSU with the mounting bracket and secure it with screws. Note: Depending on your PSU's power outlet orientation, minor adjustments or bending of a non-visible part of the case may be necessary for proper fitment. Ensure the PSU fan is oriented correctly for optimal airflow.

3.3 Graphics Card (GPU) Installation

  1. Remove the necessary expansion slot covers at the rear of the case.
  2. Insert your graphics card into the PCIe slot on the motherboard and secure it with the retention clip and screws. The case supports graphics cards up to 355mm in length.

3.4 Storage Drive Installation (SSD/HDD)

The case provides dedicated mounts for SSDs and HDDs. Secure your 2.5-inch SSDs or 3.5-inch HDDs to the designated trays or mounting points using the provided screws.

3.5 Cooling System Installation (Fans/Radiators)

The Spark Pro supports up to six 120mm fans and multiple radiator configurations:

  • Top: Space for 2 x 120mm or 2 x 140mm fans/radiators.
  • Bottom: Space for 3 x 120mm or 2 x 140mm fans/radiators.
  • Rear: Space for 1 x 120mm fan.

Install fans and radiators according to your cooling requirements, ensuring proper airflow direction for optimal thermal performance. The vertical airflow design promotes efficient heat dissipation from bottom to top.

3.6 Cable Management

Utilize the 6 cable management holes and the space behind the motherboard tray to route and organize all power and data cables. Proper cable management improves airflow and aesthetics.

4. Operating Considerations

The GameMax Spark Pro is designed with a vertical airflow path. Ensure that intake fans are positioned at the bottom and exhaust fans at the top and rear to facilitate efficient heat removal. The additional fan points at the bottom are strategically placed to direct airflow towards the graphics card, enhancing its cooling performance.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance helps prolong the life of your PC components and ensures optimal performance.

  • Dust Cleaning: Periodically clean dust filters and internal components using compressed air. Ensure the system is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
  • Tempered Glass Panels: Clean the tempered glass panels with a soft, lint-free cloth and a mild glass cleaner. Avoid abrasive materials that could scratch the glass.
  • Cable Management: Occasionally check cable routing to ensure no cables are obstructing airflow or fan operation.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Power Supply Unit (PSU) Fitment Issues

If you encounter difficulties installing the PSU due to its outlet orientation, it may be necessary to carefully bend or remove a non-critical, non-visible part of the case's PSU mounting area. This is a known characteristic of the design for some PSU models. Proceed with caution or consult a professional if unsure.

6.2 Poor Airflow/Overheating

Ensure all fans are installed with the correct orientation for the vertical airflow design (bottom intake, top/rear exhaust). Verify that no cables are obstructing fan blades or airflow paths. Clean dust filters regularly to prevent buildup that restricts air movement.

6.3 Front Panel USB/Audio Not Functioning

Check all front panel connectors (USB 3.0, USB Type-C, HD Audio) are securely connected to the correct headers on your motherboard. Refer to your motherboard manual for header locations.
