Setup
Charging the Speaker
- Connect the Micro-USB charging cable to the Type-C Charge Input port on the back of the TARDIS speaker.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to a compatible USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter).
- The Charging LED indicator will illuminate during charging. Once fully charged, the LED may change color or turn off depending on the unit.
Powering On/Off
Press and hold the Power On/Off button located on the back of the speaker. You will hear a TARDIS materialize sound effect when powering on, and a dematerialize sound effect when powering off. The top LED lamp will flash, and the windows will illuminate.

Operating Instructions
Bluetooth Pairing
- Ensure the TARDIS speaker is powered on.
- The speaker will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode, indicated by the illuminated windows and a cloister bell sound effect.
- On your device (smartphone, tablet, MP3 player), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "FAMETEK TARDIS" from the list. You will hear a confirmation sound effect upon successful pairing.
- The windows will glow white when connected to a device.
Audio Playback
- Play/Pause: Press the Play/Pause button (often integrated with the Power button) to start or pause audio playback.
- Volume Control: Use the Volume +/- buttons to adjust the sound level.
- Skip Track: Press and hold the Volume +/- buttons to skip to the next or previous track.
Auxiliary Input
For devices without Bluetooth, connect using the provided 3.5mm auxiliary cable. Plug one end into the AUX input on the back of the TARDIS speaker and the other into your device's headphone jack. The speaker will automatically switch to AUX mode.
TARDIS Sound Effects
The speaker features several iconic TARDIS sound effects that indicate various functions:
- Materialize/Dematerialize: Power On/Off.
- Cloister Bell: Bluetooth Connection.
- Flight: 3.5mm Direct Connection.
- Turbulence: Low Battery.

Maintenance
- Keep the speaker away from water and excessive moisture. It is not waterproof.

Troubleshooting
- No Power: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect to a power source using the Micro-USB cable.
- Cannot Pair Bluetooth: Make sure the speaker is in pairing mode (cloister bell sound, illuminated windows). Ensure your device's Bluetooth is enabled and within range (up to 33 feet). Try restarting both the speaker and your device.
- No Sound: Check the volume levels on both the speaker and your connected device. Ensure the correct input mode (Bluetooth or AUX) is selected.
- Distorted Sound: Reduce the volume on both the speaker and your device. Ensure the speaker is not too far from the Bluetooth source.
