  2. Open the chamber by pulling back the pump action forend.
  3. Locate the firing mode selector switch inside the chamber.
  4. Adjust the switch to your desired firing mode (3-shot for more accuracy/gas efficiency, 6-shot for wider spread).
  5. Close the chamber.

2. Firing the Shotgun

  1. Ensure the gas reservoir is charged and a loaded shell is inserted.
  2. Aim at your target using the ghost ring iron sights.
  3. Disengage the safety.
  4. Pull the trigger to fire.
  5. To chamber the next shot, pull the pump action forend fully rearward, then push it fully forward until it locks. This action will eject the spent shell and load a new one if available.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your M870 airsoft shotgun.

  • Cleaning the Barrel: After each use, clean the inner barrel using a cleaning rod and a lint-free cloth. Apply a small amount of silicone oil to the cloth for lubrication.
  • Lubrication: Periodically apply silicone oil to moving parts such as the pump action mechanism, trigger assembly, and O-rings in the gas system to ensure smooth operation and prevent wear.
  • Gas System Check: Inspect the gas reservoir and its seals for any signs of leaks. If a leak is detected, replace the O-rings or consult a professional.
  • Shell Maintenance: Keep the shotgun shells clean and free of debris. Ensure the BB loading ports are clear.
  • Storage: Store the shotgun in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the gas reservoir is not completely empty but also not over-pressurized for long-term storage.
