3. Setup
Unpacking:
- Carefully remove all packaging materials, including foam and tape.
- Inspect the unit for any damage. If damage is found, do not operate the appliance and contact customer support.
- Remove any internal packing materials and accessories.
Placement:
- This wine cooler is designed for freestanding or countertop installation.
- Ensure the unit is placed on a flat, stable surface capable of supporting its weight when fully loaded.
- Allow at least 5 inches (12.7 cm) of space at the back and sides for proper ventilation.
- Avoid placing the unit near heat sources (e.g., oven, radiator, direct sunlight) or in areas with high humidity.
- The dimensions of the unit are approximately 17.32"W x 17.64"D x 20.79"H.

Initial Power-On:
After placing the unit in its desired location, wait at least 24 hours before plugging it into a power outlet. This allows the compressor oils and refrigerants to settle, preventing potential damage.
- After 24 hours, plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
- The unit will power on and display the current internal temperature.
4. Operating Instructions
The STAIGIS wine cooler features a user-friendly digital touch control panel located on the top of the door.

Control Panel Functions:
- Lock Button (🔒): Press and hold for approximately 3 seconds to lock or unlock the control panel. This prevents accidental changes to settings.
- Temperature Up (▲): Press to increase the desired temperature.
- Temperature Down (▼): Press to decrease the desired temperature.
- Light Button (💡): Press to turn the interior LED light on or off.
- Temperature Unit Conversion: To switch between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C), press and hold the Lock button (🔒) for approximately 3 seconds while the panel is unlocked.
Setting the Temperature:
- Ensure the control panel is unlocked. If locked, press and hold the lock button for 3 seconds.
- Use the Temperature Up (▲) or Temperature Down (▼) buttons to set your desired temperature. The display will flash the set temperature and then return to showing the actual internal temperature.
- For optimal wine storage, a temperature between 40°F and 66°F (5°C and 18°C) is recommended. Many prefer 55°F (13°C) for general wine storage.

5. Maintenance
Cleaning the Interior:
- Unplug the wine cooler from the power outlet.
- Remove all bottles and shelves.
- Wash the shelves with a mild detergent solution and dry thoroughly.
- Clean the interior surfaces with a soft cloth dampened with a solution of warm water and mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Rinse with clean water and wipe dry.
- Ensure the interior is completely dry before plugging the unit back in.
Cleaning the Exterior:
- Wipe the exterior with a soft cloth and mild detergent.
- For the glass door, use a glass cleaner.
- Do not use abrasive pads or cleaners that may scratch the surface.
Defrosting:
The STAIGIS wine cooler features an automatic defrost system. Frost will melt and drain into a drip tray at the back of the unit, where it evaporates. No manual defrosting is typically required.
6. Troubleshooting
