1. Important Safety Information

3. Setup

Unpacking:

  1. Carefully remove all packaging materials, including foam and tape.
  2. Inspect the unit for any damage. If damage is found, do not operate the appliance and contact customer support.
  3. Remove any internal packing materials and accessories.

Placement:

  • This wine cooler is designed for freestanding or countertop installation.
  • Ensure the unit is placed on a flat, stable surface capable of supporting its weight when fully loaded.
  • Allow at least 5 inches (12.7 cm) of space at the back and sides for proper ventilation.
  • Avoid placing the unit near heat sources (e.g., oven, radiator, direct sunlight) or in areas with high humidity.
  • The dimensions of the unit are approximately 17.32"W x 17.64"D x 20.79"H.

Initial Power-On:

After placing the unit in its desired location, wait at least 24 hours before plugging it into a power outlet. This allows the compressor oils and refrigerants to settle, preventing potential damage.

  1. After 24 hours, plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
  2. The unit will power on and display the current internal temperature.

4. Operating Instructions

The STAIGIS wine cooler features a user-friendly digital touch control panel located on the top of the door.

Control Panel Functions:

  • Lock Button (🔒): Press and hold for approximately 3 seconds to lock or unlock the control panel. This prevents accidental changes to settings.
  • Temperature Up (): Press to increase the desired temperature.
  • Temperature Down (): Press to decrease the desired temperature.
  • Light Button (💡): Press to turn the interior LED light on or off.
  • Temperature Unit Conversion: To switch between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C), press and hold the Lock button (🔒) for approximately 3 seconds while the panel is unlocked.

Setting the Temperature:

  1. Ensure the control panel is unlocked. If locked, press and hold the lock button for 3 seconds.
  2. Use the Temperature Up () or Temperature Down () buttons to set your desired temperature. The display will flash the set temperature and then return to showing the actual internal temperature.
  3. For optimal wine storage, a temperature between 40°F and 66°F (5°C and 18°C) is recommended. Many prefer 55°F (13°C) for general wine storage.

5. Maintenance

Cleaning the Interior:

  1. Unplug the wine cooler from the power outlet.
  2. Remove all bottles and shelves.
  3. Wash the shelves with a mild detergent solution and dry thoroughly.
  4. Clean the interior surfaces with a soft cloth dampened with a solution of warm water and mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  5. Rinse with clean water and wipe dry.
  6. Ensure the interior is completely dry before plugging the unit back in.

Cleaning the Exterior:

  1. Wipe the exterior with a soft cloth and mild detergent.
  2. For the glass door, use a glass cleaner.
  3. Do not use abrasive pads or cleaners that may scratch the surface.

Defrosting:

The STAIGIS wine cooler features an automatic defrost system. Frost will melt and drain into a drip tray at the back of the unit, where it evaporates. No manual defrosting is typically required.

6. Troubleshooting
