This manual provides detailed instructions for the Kidsneed SM35PTZ Baby Monitor, an additional camera unit designed to pair with a compatible Kidsneed Parent Unit. Setup Guide
1. Powering On
- Connect the provided power adapter to the Kidsneed SM35PTZ Baby Unit.
- Plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
- Ensure the Baby Unit powers on (an indicator light may illuminate).
- Power on your Kidsneed Parent Unit.
2. Initial Pairing / Renewing Pairing
To pair a new or additional Baby Unit with your Parent Unit, or to renew an existing pairing, follow these steps:
- Place the Baby Unit and Parent Unit side-by-side and ensure both are turned on.
- On the Parent Unit, press the MENU/Exit key to display the menu screen.
- Press the LEFT key or RIGHT key until the camera icon is highlighted in red.
- Press the UP key or DOWN key to select the desired camera slot to pair.
- Press the OK key to initiate the pairing process.
- While the LED on the Parent Unit is flashing, press and hold the PAIR button located on the back of the Baby Unit for a few seconds.
- Once successfully paired, an image from the connected camera will appear on the Parent Unit screen.
- If pairing is unsuccessful, repeat the steps above.
- Press the MENU/Exit key to exit the pairing menu.
Note: If you are pairing multiple cameras, repeat these steps for each camera individually.
Operating Your Kidsneed SM35PTZ Baby Monitor
1. Camera View and Control
- Remote Pan & Tilt: Use the directional keys on the Parent Unit to remotely pan the camera 355 degrees horizontally and tilt it 110 degrees vertically, allowing you to adjust the viewing angle as needed.
- Switching Between Paired Cameras: If two or more cameras are paired, press the OK key on the Parent Unit to cycle through the views of each connected camera. The camera number will be displayed on the LCD screen.
- Automatic Scan (Loop) Mode: To activate this mode, press the OK key repeatedly until the loop sign appears on the LCD screen. In this mode, each paired camera will be displayed for 10 seconds before automatically switching to the next.
- Night Vision: The camera features a special night vision function, allowing for clear monitoring in low-light conditions without the need for additional lighting.
2. Audio Features
- Two-Way Talk: Press and hold the microphone button on the Parent Unit to speak to your child through the Baby Unit. Release the button to listen.
- VOX Sensitivity: Adjust the microphone sensitivity settings on the Parent Unit to control when the monitor activates based on sound levels in the baby's room.
3. Lullabies and Timer Functions
- Lullabies: The Parent Unit offers a selection of lullabies and white noise options to help soothe your child. Access these through the menu settings.
- Feeding Timer: Set a feeding timer on the Parent Unit to receive reminders for your child's feeding schedule.
4. Temperature Monitoring
- Room Temperature Display: The Parent Unit displays the current temperature of the room where the Baby Unit is located.
- Temperature Alerts: Configure minimum and maximum temperature thresholds. The Parent Unit will alert you if the room temperature falls outside this set range.
Care and Maintenance
- Keep the Baby Unit and Parent Unit clean by wiping them with a dry, soft cloth.
- Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ensure proper ventilation for both units to prevent overheating.
- Regularly check power cords for any signs of damage.
Troubleshooting
1. Pairing Unsuccessful
- Ensure both Baby Unit and Parent Unit are powered on and in close proximity during pairing.
- Repeat the pairing steps carefully as outlined in the "Initial Pairing" section.
- Check if the Baby Unit's LED is flashing during the pairing attempt.
2. No Signal / Poor Connection
- Reduce the distance between the Baby Unit and Parent Unit.

- Ensure both units are not placed near other wireless devices (e.g., Wi-Fi routers, microwaves).
3. Short Battery Life (Parent Unit)
