5. Installation Guide

Follow these steps carefully to install your RAYZEEK RZ036-10A motion sensor.

5.1 Pre-Installation

Turn off power: Locate the circuit breaker controlling the light fixture where you intend to install the sensor and turn off the power. Verify power is off using a voltage tester.
Identify Wires: In your ceiling junction box, identify the Hot wire (Live), Load wire (to the light fixture), and Neutral wire. Colors may vary; use a non-contact voltage tester to confirm.

5.2 Mounting

Remove Cover: Rotate the top cover of the sensor counter-clockwise to remove it.
Positioning: Use the provided positioning sticker to mark the drill holes on the ceiling.
Drill Holes: Drill holes at the marked positions and insert the wall anchors.
Secure Base: Align the sensor base with the drilled holes and secure it to the ceiling using the provided screws.

5.3 Wiring

Connect the wires from your ceiling junction box to the sensor terminals as follows:

Connect the Hot wire (Live) to the 'L' terminal on the sensor.
Connect the Load wire (to the light fixture) to the 'L1' terminal on the sensor.
Connect the Neutral wire to the 'N' terminal on the sensor.

5.4 Post-Installation Check

After wiring and mounting, ensure all connections are secure and the sensor is firmly attached to the ceiling. Replace the top cover by rotating it clockwise until it locks firmly.

6. Operation

6.1 Initial Power-On

After installation and restoring power, the motion sensor switch will take approximately 1 minute to initialize. During this time, the green indicator light on the sensor will turn on. The sensor is ready for use once initialization is complete.

6.2 Adjusting Settings

The RAYZEEK RZ036-10A features user-friendly button adjustments for Light Sensor (LUX), Time Delay, and Sensitivity. To access these settings, rotate the top cover counter-clockwise to remove it.

6.2.1 Light Sensor (LUX) Adjustment

The LUX setting determines the ambient light level at which the sensor will activate. If the ambient brightness is greater than the selected LUX value, the motion sensor will not detect motion and the light will not turn on, saving energy during daylight hours.

Options: Off, 15 Lux, 25 Lux (Default), 35 Lux.
'Off' Setting: The sensor will detect motion regardless of ambient light, turning on the light even in bright conditions.

6.2.2 Time Delay Adjustment

The Time Delay setting determines how long the light remains on after the last detected motion. The timer resets with each new motion detection.

Options: 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute (Default), 3 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 30 minutes.

6.2.3 Sensitivity Adjustment

The Sensitivity setting controls the range and responsiveness of motion detection.

Options: High Sensitivity, Low Sensitivity.
High Sensitivity: Detects smaller movements and covers a wider area.
Low Sensitivity: Requires more significant movement or closer proximity for detection, useful in areas with potential false triggers.

After adjusting settings, replace the top cover by rotating it clockwise until it locks firmly.
