  • LAN LED: Solid indicates a device is connected to the Ethernet port. Blinking indicates data transfer.
  • Internet LED: Solid indicates successful internet connection.

4.2 Connecting Devices

Once the extender is set up, your devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops, smart TVs, etc.) can connect to the extended Wi-Fi network just like they would to any other Wi-Fi network. Look for the extended network's SSID (if you changed it) or your original network's SSID (if you kept it the same) and enter the password.

For wired devices like gaming consoles or Blu-ray players, connect them to the extender's Ethernet port using an RJ45 cable.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the extender. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
  • Firmware Updates: Periodically check the manufacturer's website for firmware updates. Updating firmware can improve performance, add new features, and fix bugs. Follow the instructions provided with the firmware update carefully.
  • Optimal Placement: Re-evaluate the extender's placement if you experience a drop in performance or new dead zones. Ensure it's not obstructed and is centrally located between your router and the desired coverage area.
  • Restarting: If you encounter minor issues, try restarting the extender by unplugging it from the power outlet for 10 seconds and then plugging it back in.
