1. Introduction

3.2 Initial Setup and Pairing

1. Remove Insulating Tab: Gently pull out the insulating tab from the main sensor unit. The indicator light should start "breathing" (pulsing).
2. Reset/Pairing Mode: If the indicator is not breathing, press and hold the reset button (small circular button on the main unit) for 5 seconds until the LED indicator starts blinking, then release it.
3. Open Matter-compatible App: Open your preferred Matter-compatible smart home app (e.g., Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa).
4. Scan Setup Code: Scan the Matter QR code found on the user manual or product packaging. Alternatively, enter the numeric setup code manually.

2. Attach Main Unit: Install the sensor main unit on a non-movable surface (e.g., door frame) using the adhesive backing.
3. Attach Accessory Unit: Install the accessory unit on the movable surface (e.g., door or window) using its adhesive backing.
4. Align Marking Lines: Try to align the sensor main unit and accessory unit's marking lines as much as possible.
5. Maintain Proximity: Ensure the accessory unit is within 2 cm (0.79 in.) from the main unit when the door/window is closed.
6. Optional Flat Magnet: The provided flat magnet can be used to replace the accessory unit in situations requiring a more discreet or specific installation.
