2. Setup Guide

2.1 Package Contents

2.2 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the camera's built-in 10400mAh battery. Connect the provided power adapter to the camera's charging port. The indicator light will show charging status and turn solid when fully charged. A full charge can take several hours.

2.3 SIM Card Installation

  1. Locate the SIM card slot on the camera (refer to the quick start guide for exact location).
  2. Use the provided ejector tool to open the SIM card tray.
  3. Insert a nano-SIM card with an active 4G data plan into the tray, ensuring correct orientation.
  4. Gently push the tray back into the camera until it clicks into place.

2.4 EZVIZ App Download and Pairing

  1. Download the "EZVIZ" app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Create an EZVIZ account or log in if you already have one.
  3. Tap the "+" icon in the app to add a new device.
  4. Scan the QR code located on the camera or its packaging.

2.5 Mounting the Camera

3. Operation

3.1 Live View and Pan/Tilt Control

Open the EZVIZ app and select your EB8 camera to access the live view. You can pan the camera horizontally up to 340° and tilt it vertically up to 80° by swiping on the live view screen in the app. This allows for comprehensive coverage of your monitored area.

3.2 Two-Way Audio

Tap the microphone icon in the live view to speak through the camera's speaker, and listen to audio from the camera's microphone. This feature is useful for interacting with visitors or deterring intruders.

3.3 Smart Human Detection and Auto-Tracking

The EB8 camera can intelligently detect human shapes, reducing false alarms caused by animals or moving objects. When a human is detected, the camera can automatically track their movement within its field of view, ensuring continuous monitoring of the activity.

3.4 Night Vision Modes

The camera offers both color night vision and traditional black and white infrared night vision. Color night vision is activated in low-light conditions when sufficient ambient light is available or when the camera's spotlights are enabled. In complete darkness, it switches to black and white infrared vision for clear monitoring.
