AutoSky 7" Portable CarPlay & Android Auto Screen

1. Introduction

The AutoSky 7" Portable CarPlay & Android Auto Screen (Model APID-201) is designed to integrate smartphone functionalities into your vehicle's audio system. This device offers both wired and wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, enabling access to navigation, music, calls, and voice assistants directly from its high-definition touch display. It connects to your car's audio system via Bluetooth, FM Transmitter, or Aux Cable.

2. What's in the Box

Upon unboxing your AutoSky Portable Infotainment Display, ensure all the following components are present:

• 7" Display Monitor
• Windshield Mount
• Car Cigarette Connector (Power Cable)

3. Setup & Installation

1. Mounting the Display: Attach the windshield mount to a suitable location on your dashboard or windshield. Ensure the surface is clean and dry for optimal suction. Secure the 7" Display Monitor to the mount.
2. Power Connection: Connect the Car Cigarette Connector to your vehicle's 12V power outlet. Plug the other end into the DC 12V input port on the display.
3. Audio Output (Optional):
   • FM Transmitter: On the display, select the FM Transmitter option and choose an unused FM frequency. Tune your car's radio to the same FM frequency to transmit audio.
   • Auxiliary Cable: Connect the provided 3.5mm Auxiliary Cable from the display's AUX OUT port to your car's AUX IN port. Select AUX input on your car's audio system.
   • Bluetooth: Pair the display with your car's Bluetooth system (if available) for audio output.
4. Initial Power On: Once connected, the display should power on automatically or by pressing the power button.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Connecting to Apple CarPlay / Android Auto

1. Wireless Connection:
   • Ensure Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on your smartphone.
   • On the AutoSky display, select the 'CarPlay' or 'Android Auto' icon.
   • Follow the on-screen prompts to pair your phone via Bluetooth. Once paired, the display will automatically connect to CarPlay or Android Auto wirelessly.
2. Wired Connection:
   • Connect your smartphone to the display using a USB cable plugged into the display's USB port.
   • The display should automatically detect your phone and launch CarPlay or Android Auto.

4.2. Navigation

Once connected to CarPlay or Android Auto, you can access your preferred navigation applications (e.g., Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze) directly on the display. Use the touch screen or voice commands to enter destinations and receive turn-by-turn directions.

4.3. Music & Media Playback

Access your music library, streaming services (e.g., Spotify, Apple Music), and podcasts through CarPlay or Android Auto. Audio will play through your selected car audio output method (FM, Aux, or Bluetooth).

4.4. Hands-Free Calling & Voice Control

Make and receive calls hands-free using the display's interface or voice commands (Siri for Apple CarPlay, Google Assistant for Android Auto). Your phone's contacts will be accessible on the screen.

4.5. FM Transmitter

To use the FM Transmitter function, select the FM option on the display. Choose a clear, unused FM frequency. Then, tune your car's FM radio to the exact same frequency. Audio from the display will now play through your car's speakers.

6. Troubleshooting

• No Power: Ensure the car cigarette connector is securely plugged into both the vehicle's 12V outlet and the display's DC 12V port. Check your vehicle's fuse for the 12V outlet.
• No Audio Output: Verify the selected audio output method (FM, Aux, Bluetooth) is correctly configured on both the display and your car's audio system. For FM, ensure you've selected a clear, unused frequency.
• CarPlay/Android Auto Not Connecting:
  • For wireless connection, ensure Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are active on your phone and the device is paired.
  • For wired connection, try a different USB cable or USB port on the display. Ensure your phone's operating system is up to date.
  • Restart both your phone and the AutoSky display.
• Screen Glare: Adjust the display's angle using the mount to minimize glare from sunlight.
• Unresponsive Touchscreen: Restart the device. If the issue persists, contact customer support.

7. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the screen. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Temperature: Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) for extended periods.
• Storage: If storing the device for a long time, disconnect it from power and keep it in a cool, dry place.
