4.1. Performing a Test

For best results, it is recommended to test at a consistent time each day, ideally with your first morning urine, but the Mira system allows testing anytime of day.

  1. Collect Urine Sample: Collect a urine sample in a clean, dry container.
  2. Dip Test Wand: Open a new Mira Test Wand pouch. Dip the absorbent tip of the test wand into the urine sample for 10-20 seconds. Ensure the sampling end is pointing down. Do not shake the test wand after sampling.
  3. Insert into Analyzer: Immediately insert the test wand horizontally into the Mira Analyzer. Ensure it is fully inserted and the analyzer is sitting on a horizontal surface.
  4. Wait for Results: The analyzer will begin processing the sample. Results will be displayed on the analyzer screen and automatically synced to the Mira App within minutes.

4.2. Understanding Your Results

The Mira App provides detailed hormone charts and interpretations of your LH, E3G, and PdG levels, helping you identify your fertile window and confirm ovulation.

  • LH Peak: Indicates an LH surge, signaling that ovulation is likely to occur within 12-36 hours.
  • E3G Rise: Indicates an increase in estrogen, which helps define your 6-day fertile window.
  • PdG Rise: Confirms that ovulation has occurred, as progesterone (PdG) levels rise after ovulation.
