5. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to install your Govee Smart Recessed Lighting:

- Create Hole: Use the provided hole template to mark and cut a 6-inch diameter hole in your ceiling. Ensure there is at least 1.5 inches of clearance above the ceiling for the light fixture.
- Connect Junction Box: Open the junction box cover. Connect the household electrical wires (black-live, white-neutral, green-ground) to the corresponding wires in the junction box using the provided wire terminals. Close the junction box cover securely.
- Connect Light to Junction Box: Connect the cable from the recessed light fixture to the cable extending from the junction box.
- Affix Light: Gently push the spring clips on the sides of the recessed light fixture upwards and insert the light into the prepared ceiling hole. The clips will spring back down to secure the light in place.
