5. Operating Instructions

The AK-01S feeder offers both automatic and manual feeding options.

5.1. Setting Automatic Feeding Times

The device supports three interval feeding modes: every 8 hours, every 12 hours, and every 24 hours. The timing is selected after the mode is chosen. (Refer to Figure 2, Step 4)

  • 12-Hour Interval: Press the button labeled "12" (or similar icon) to set the feeder to dispense food every 12 hours.
  • 24-Hour Interval: Press the button labeled "24" (or similar icon) to set the feeder to dispense food every 24 hours.
  • 8-Hour Interval: While not explicitly shown on the buttons in the provided images, the product description mentions an 8-hour option. If available, there will be a corresponding button or a sequence to select this mode.

The feeder will automatically dispense food at the selected intervals from the time the setting is activated.

5.2. Manual Feeding

To initiate an immediate, single feeding cycle, press the manual feeding button (often labeled with a hand icon or "Manual" as seen in Figure 4). This will dispense food once without affecting the programmed automatic schedule.

6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your feeder.

  • Cleaning: The product care instructions specify "Hand Wash Only". Regularly clean the feed bin and dispensing mechanism to prevent food buildup and ensure smooth operation.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries every 3-6 months or when the feeder's operation becomes inconsistent.
  • Food Storage: Ensure the moisture-resistant hopper is properly sealed after refilling to keep food fresh.
