LINXINO HTS558

LINXINO HTS558 Walnut Blaster Cleaner: Instruction Manual

Model: HTS558

Introduction

The LINXINO HTS558 Walnut Blaster Cleaner is designed for the deep removal of carbon deposits from automotive engine intake manifolds and intake/exhaust valves. This system utilizes walnut sand cleaning technology for effective carbon removal, aiming to restore optimal engine performance by addressing issues such as unstable idling speed, insufficient fuel combustion, and reduced air-fuel ratio. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of your HTS558 unit.

Safety Information

Always prioritize safety when operating the LINXINO HTS558 Walnut Blaster Cleaner. Failure to follow safety guidelines can result in injury or damage to equipment.

  • Wear Protective Gear: Always wear the provided safety goggles and appropriate hand protection (gloves) to protect against walnut media and debris.
  • Ventilation: Operate the machine in a well-ventilated area to prevent the accumulation of dust and fumes.
  • Power Source: Ensure the power source matches the machine's requirements (110V/220V, 50/60Hz) and is properly grounded.
  • External Air Pump: An external high-pressure air pump is required and is not included. Ensure the air pump is rated for appropriate pressure (e.g., 120 PSI output) and is in good working condition.
  • Engine Off: Always ensure the engine is turned off and cooled down before performing any cleaning procedures.
  • Secure Connections: Double-check all hose and gun connections to prevent leaks or disconnections during operation.
  • Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the work area.

Setup

Follow these steps to prepare your LINXINO HTS558 for operation:

  1. Install the Sand Suction Hose: Connect the sand suction hose to the designated port on the main unit. Ensure it is securely fastened.

Operation

Once the unit is set up, proceed with the carbon cleaning process:

  1. Prepare the Engine: Turn off the engine and allow it to cool. Access the intake manifold and identify the intake valves requiring cleaning. Turn the crankshaft to close the intake valve of the cylinder you intend to clean first.
  2. Inspect Carbon Deposits: Visually inspect the intake valves for carbon buildup. This will help assess the cleaning effectiveness.

Image: A split image showing an engine intake valve heavily coated with carbon deposits (Before) and the same valve after cleaning (After), demonstrating the effectiveness of the walnut blasting process.

  3. Start De-carbon Cleaning: Insert the sandblasting gun with the appropriate fitting into the intake port. Turn on the external air pump and the HTS558 unit. Begin injecting walnut powder into the intake port. The machine will simultaneously spray and recover the walnut sand.
  4. Clean Each Intake Pipe: Clean one intake pipe at a time. For multi-cylinder engines (e.g., 6-cylinder), repeat the process for each cylinder individually, ensuring the respective intake valve is closed. The cleaning process for each pipe should be completed within approximately three minutes.
  5. Post-Cleaning Inspection: After cleaning, visually inspect the intake valves to ensure all carbon deposits have been removed. The walnut powder remaining in the intake pipe will turn into ash at high temperatures once the engine is started, preventing damage to the exhaust system.

Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and efficiency of your LINXINO HTS558 Walnut Blaster Cleaner:

  • Dust Filter Cleaning: The unit features a built-in dust filter that separates recovered walnut sand from carbon deposits for recycling. Regularly check and clean the dust filter to maintain optimal suction and prevent clogging.

  • Walnut Sand Replacement: Replace walnut sand as needed. The package includes 2kg of walnut sand.
  • Storage: Store the machine in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Hose and Nozzle Inspection: Periodically inspect hoses and nozzles for wear, cracks, or blockages. Replace damaged components immediately.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your LINXINO HTS558, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • No Suction/Weak Suction:
    • Check all hose connections for leaks.
    • Ensure the dust filter is clean and not clogged.
    • Verify the top cover is securely latched.
    • Check for blockages in the suction hose or nozzle.
  • No Walnut Sand Spray:
    • Confirm the external air pump is connected and providing sufficient pressure (approx. 120 PSI).
    • Check if the walnut sand reservoir is empty or if the sand is clumped.
    • Inspect the spray gun for blockages.
  • Machine Not Turning On:
    • Ensure the power cable is securely plugged into a working outlet.
    • Check the power switch on the unit.
    • Verify the circuit breaker has not tripped.
