2. Attaching the Cuff
The monitor comes with two cuff sizes: a standard M/L cuff (9"-17") and an extra-large (XL) cuff (13"-21"). Choose the cuff that best fits your upper arm circumference to ensure accurate readings.
- Select the Correct Cuff: Measure your upper arm circumference and select either the M/L cuff (for arm sizes 9-17 inches) or the XL cuff (for arm sizes 13-21 inches).
- Connect the Cuff: Insert the air tube connector from the chosen cuff firmly into the air jack on the side of the main monitor unit.
- Position the Cuff:
- Place the cuff on your bare upper arm, approximately 1-2 cm (0.4-0.8 inches) above the elbow joint.
- Ensure the air tube runs down the center of your arm, aligned with your middle finger.
- The bottom edge of the cuff should be above the bend of your elbow.
- Wrap the cuff snugly around your arm, but not too tightly. You should be able to insert two fingers between the cuff and your arm.

Operation
1. Taking a Measurement
For accurate readings, ensure you are relaxed, seated comfortably with your feet flat on the floor, and your arm supported at heart level. Avoid talking or moving during the measurement.

2. Understanding Readings with 3-Color Indicator
The ALPHAGOMED monitor features a 3-color indicator on the upper right corner of the display, based on WHO (World Health Organization) guidelines, to help you quickly interpret your blood pressure status:
- Green Light: Indicates Normal Blood Pressure.
- Orange Light: Indicates Mild Hypotension (Pre-hypertension) or slightly elevated pressure.
- Red Light: Indicates High Blood Pressure (Hypertension).
Always consult your healthcare professional for interpretation of your blood pressure readings and for any medical advice.
