Setup

1. Battery Installation

The Tajima Grati-Lite Headlamp uses a separate battery compartment for AA batteries. Ensure you have fresh AA batteries ready for installation.

  1. Locate the separate battery compartment. It is connected to the headlamp unit by a coiled cable.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover. This usually involves unlatching a clip or sliding a lock mechanism.
  3. Insert the required number of AA batteries (typically 3) into the compartment, paying close attention to the positive (+) and negative (-) polarity markings inside the compartment. Incorrect insertion can prevent the headlamp from functioning and may damage the batteries or device.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely until it clicks into place, ensuring a tight seal.

The headlamp comes with an adjustable strap and helmet clips for secure attachment.

  • For Head Use: Adjust the elastic head strap to fit comfortably and securely around your head. The strap should be snug but not too tight. The separate battery compartment can be positioned at the back of your head for balanced weight.
  • For Helmet Use: Utilize the integrated helmet clips on the head strap to secure the headlamp to the brim or edge of your hard hat or helmet. Ensure all clips are firmly attached to prevent the headlamp from slipping during movement.
