4. Setup Instructions

4.1. Unpacking and Placement

  1. Carefully unpack all components from the shipping crates. Refer to Figure 3.2 for a complete list of included items.
  2. Place the main laser unit and the wire feeder on a stable, level surface in a well-ventilated area. Ensure sufficient space around the machine for air circulation and access.
  3. Verify that the power source matches the machine's requirements (AC power).

4.2. Connecting Components

  1. Connect the handheld welding torch to the main laser unit using the provided cables. Ensure all connections are secure.
  2. Connect the automatic wire feeder (FWS-01A) to the main laser unit.
  3. Install the welding wire reel into the wire feeder. The wire feeder supports 0.8mm, 1.0mm, 1.2mm, and 1.6mm wires. Thread the wire through the wire feed port.
  4. Connect the power cable to the main laser unit and then to a grounded power outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

Before operating, ensure all safety precautions are followed, including wearing OD7+ protective glasses.

5.1. Power On and Initial Setup

  1. Turn on the main power switch on the laser unit.
  2. The touchscreen control panel will activate.
  3. Use the touchscreen to select the desired language and operating mode (welding, cutting, cleaning, or weld seam cleaning).

5.2. Parameter Adjustment

The intelligent control system offers preset parameters for various material thicknesses and 5 custom parameters. Adjust settings such as laser power, welding speed, and wire feed rate via the touchscreen.

5.3. Operating Modes

The machine supports 7 welding modes and 9 cleaning modes, allowing for diverse applications.

5.3.1. Welding

Select the welding mode on the control panel. Position the handheld torch over the workpiece. The auto feeder will supply welding wire as needed. Maintain a consistent distance and angle for optimal results. The double wobble feature enhances weld quality and penetration.

5.3.2. Cutting

Switch to cutting mode. Guide the torch along the desired cut line. The laser will precisely cut through the material.

5.3.3. Cleaning / Rust Removal

Engage the cleaning mode. Move the torch over the surface to be cleaned. The laser will remove rust, paint, and other contaminants without damaging the base material.

5.3.4. Weld Seam Cleaning

Utilize this mode to clean and refine weld seams after the welding process, ensuring a smooth finish without burrs.

5.4. Material Compatibility

The NOUALASER machine is capable of welding various series of metals and alloys, including aluminum, stainless steel, carbon steel, chromium, nickel, copper, galvanized steel, and brass. The resulting weld seams are smooth and typically do not require post-grinding treatment.
