3. Setup Instructions

3.1 Initial Charging and Preparation

Before installation, ensure the camera's internal battery is sufficiently charged. The solar panel requires 1-3 hours of direct sunlight daily for continuous power. It is recommended to fully charge the camera via USB (if available) or allow several days of direct sunlight exposure to the solar panel before initial use.

3.2 App Download and Account Creation

1. Download the official Xparkin security camera application from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
2. Create a new user account and log in.

3.3 Wi-Fi Connection

1. Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. This camera does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi.
2. Avoid using special characters like @, #, or % in your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) as this may cause connection issues.
3. Follow the in-app instructions to add your camera. This typically involves scanning a QR code displayed on your phone with the camera lens to establish a connection.

3.4 Physical Installation

1. Choose a mounting location that provides optimal sunlight exposure for the solar panel and a clear view for the camera.
2. Use the provided screw pack to securely mount the camera and solar panel. The solar panel can be positioned separately from the camera using its cable for better sun exposure.
3. Ensure the camera is within range of your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Live View and PTZ Control

Open the Xparkin app to access the live video feed. Use the on-screen controls to pan (355°), tilt (90°), and digitally zoom (4X) the camera to adjust your viewing area.

4.2 Motion Detection and Alerts

The camera utilizes PIR (Passive Infrared) motion detection. When motion is detected, the camera will record an event and send an alert to your smartphone via the app. You can customize sensitivity settings within the app.

4.3 Two-Way Audio

Use the microphone icon in the app to speak through the camera's speaker, and listen to audio from the camera's microphone. This allows for direct communication with visitors or to deter unwanted individuals.

4.4 Night Vision Modes

The camera offers two night vision modes:

• Full Color Night Vision: Activated by the integrated floodlights, providing clear, colored images in low-light conditions.

4.5 Video Recording and Storage

5.1 Solar Panel Care

6. Troubleshooting

• Camera not connecting to Wi-Fi:
  1. Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The camera does not support 5GHz.
  2. Check that your Wi-Fi name (SSID) does not contain special characters like @, #, or %.
  3. Verify the camera is within range of your Wi-Fi router.
  4. Try resetting the camera and attempting the pairing process again.
• Battery not holding charge or dying overnight:
  1. Ensure the solar panel receives 1-3 hours of direct sunlight daily. Obstructions can significantly reduce charging efficiency.
  2. Check the solar panel's connection to the camera.
  3. In areas with limited sunlight, consider supplementing with occasional USB charging if the camera supports it, or repositioning the solar panel for better exposure.
