2.2 Initial Setup

1. Charge the Device: Connect the charging cradle to a USB power source and place your Aim W12 watch onto the cradle. Ensure it is fully charged before first use.
2. Power On: Press and hold the power button (usually on the side) to turn on the watch.
3. Language Selection: Follow the on-screen prompts to select your preferred language.
4. GPS Signal Acquisition: The watch will automatically search for a GPS signal. For initial setup, this may take a few minutes. Ensure you are in an open area for best results.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Basic Navigation

The Aim W12 features a full-color touchscreen for easy navigation. Swipe left/right or tap buttons to move between screens and access different functions.

3.2 Golf Mode

To start a round, select 'Play Golf' from the main menu. The watch will search for nearby courses. Once your course is found, proceed to the first tee box. The watch will vibrate and automatically display the hole information.

3.2.1 Hole Overview and Distances

The default screen in Golf Mode provides a hole overview. Swipe left to view front, middle, and back distances to the green. The watch also factors in slope for adjusted yardages.

3.2.2 Green Undulation

This feature displays the slope of the green using a color-coded heat map (blue for lowest, red for highest). This helps in understanding the contours of the green for better putting decisions. This feature is available at select courses.

3.2.3 Touch IP (Intersection Point)

Tap anywhere on the hole view screen to get the distance to that specific point (Touch IP) and the remaining distance from that point to the green. This is useful for planning layups or navigating hazards.

3.2.4 Hazard Information

Swipe right from the main distance screen to view distances to various hazards on the hole, such as bunkers and water hazards. This helps in strategic shot planning.

3.2.5 Scorekeeping

The watch allows you to keep score directly on the device. Tap the score area on the screen to enter your score and number of putts for each hole. The watch will automatically prompt you to enter your score when you reach the green.

3.2.6 Shot Distance Measurement

To measure your shot distance, swipe to the Shot Distance screen. Press the 'Play' button at your starting point, walk to where your ball landed, and press 'Stop'. The watch will display the distance of your shot.
