Operating Instructions

Operating your HPI Racing WR8 Nitro 3.0 involves starting the engine, controlling the vehicle, and proper shutdown.

Engine Starting Procedure:

  1. Ensure the fuel tank is filled.
  2. Place the glow igniter firmly onto the glow plug.
  3. Pull the recoil starter cord firmly and smoothly until the engine starts. Do not pull the cord to its full extension.
  4. Once the engine starts, remove the glow igniter. The engine should idle smoothly.
  5. Allow the engine to warm up for a few minutes before driving.

Driving the Vehicle:

  • Use the trigger on the transmitter for throttle control (pull for forward, push for brake/reverse).
  • Use the steering wheel on the transmitter to control direction.
  • Start with gentle throttle inputs to get accustomed to the vehicle's response.
  • Avoid prolonged full-throttle operation, especially during the break-in period for a new engine.

Shutdown Procedure:

  1. Bring the vehicle to a stop.
  2. Pinch the fuel line to cut off fuel supply to the engine, causing it to stop. Alternatively, apply the brake until the engine stalls.
  3. Turn off the transmitter, then turn off the receiver switch on the vehicle.
  4. Allow the engine to cool down before handling.
