When storing the lantern for extended periods, always engage the BatteryGuard feature to prevent battery drain and corrosion. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
8. Troubleshooting
- Lantern does not turn on:
- Check if batteries are inserted correctly with proper polarity.
- Ensure batteries are fresh and not depleted.
- Verify that the BatteryGuard feature is disengaged (in the 'On' or 'Operating' position).
- Light is dim or flickers:
- Replace batteries with a fresh set.
- Check for any corrosion in the battery compartment and clean if necessary.
- Water ingress:
- While the lantern is water-resistant (IPX4), it is not waterproof. If water enters the unit, open the battery compartment and allow it to dry thoroughly before re-inserting batteries. Do not use if internal components appear damaged.
