Setup Guide

  1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all items from the packaging and ensure all components listed in the "Package Contents" section are present.
  2. Position the Receiver: Place the UHF wireless receiver unit on a stable, flat surface. Ensure it is away from potential sources of interference such as large metal objects, Wi-Fi routers, or other wireless devices. For optimal signal reception, position the receiver's antennas vertically and ensure they are unobstructed.
  3. Connect Power: Connect the provided power adapter to the DC IN port on the back of the receiver unit, then plug the adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
  4. Connect Audio Output: Use the supplied audio connection cable (or an XLR cable for balanced output, if available on your receiver model) to connect the receiver's audio output (MIX OUT or individual channel outputs) to the input of your amplifier, mixer, or powered speaker.
  5. Install Batteries in Transmitters:
    • Handheld Microphone: Unscrew the bottom part of the microphone and insert two AA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-). Screw the bottom back on securely.
    • Bodypack Transmitter: Open the battery compartment on the bodypack and insert two AA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment.

Note: Batteries are typically not included or are for initial testing. Use fresh, high-quality AA batteries for best performance.

  6. Attach Microphones to Bodypack: If using the bodypack, plug either the lavalier microphone or the headset microphone into the bodypack's microphone input jack. Secure the lavalier mic to clothing or position the headset mic comfortably.
  7. Power On System:
    • Turn on the receiver unit using its power button. The power indicator light should illuminate.
    • Turn on the handheld microphone and the bodypack transmitter. The system should automatically pair, and the RF indicator lights (RF-A, RF-B) on the receiver corresponding to the active microphones should light up, indicating a successful wireless connection.
  8. Initial Sound Check: Speak or sing into each microphone while gradually increasing the volume controls on the receiver and your connected audio device (amplifier/mixer). Adjust the volume to a comfortable listening level.

Operating Instructions

Volume Control

The receiver unit features independent volume control knobs for each channel (VOL A and VOL B). Adjust these knobs to control the output level of the corresponding microphone. Start with lower volume settings and gradually increase to avoid sudden loud sounds or feedback.

Microphone Usage

  • Handheld Microphone: Hold the microphone approximately 2-6 inches from your mouth for optimal sound pickup. Avoid covering the microphone grille with your hand, as this can affect sound quality and signal.
  • Lavalier Microphone: Clip the lavalier microphone to your clothing, ideally about 6-8 inches below your chin, ensuring it is not rubbing against fabric or jewelry.
  • Headset Microphone: Position the headset microphone comfortably on your head, with the microphone element positioned near the corner of your mouth, about 1-2 inches away.

Optimizing Performance

  • Maintain Line of Sight: For best performance and to prevent signal dropouts, try to maintain a clear line of sight between the microphone transmitters and the receiver antennas.
  • Avoid Obstructions: Walls, large crowds, and metal structures can reduce the effective operating range.
  • Battery Management: Monitor the battery indicators on the microphones/bodypack (if available) and replace batteries promptly when they are low to prevent unexpected power loss during use.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the receiver and microphones. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as they can damage the finish or internal components.
  • Battery Care: Remove batteries from microphones and bodypack if the system will not be used for an extended period to prevent battery leakage and damage.
  • Storage: Store the system in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity. Keep components in their original packaging or a protective case to prevent physical damage.
  • Antenna Care: Handle the receiver antennas carefully. Avoid bending or forcing them, as this can affect signal reception.
