Setup Instructions

1. Charging the Battery

Before initial use, fully charge the built-in lithium polymer battery. Connect the provided AC power adapter to the DC IN port on the player and plug it into a wall outlet. The charging indicator will illuminate. A full charge typically provides 4-6 hours of continuous playback.

2. Powering On/Off

Locate the ON/OFF switch on the right side of the player (refer to Figure 2). Slide the switch to the 'ON' position to power on the device. Slide it to 'OFF' to power down.

3. Inserting a Disc

Gently open the disc cover. Place a compatible DVD or CD onto the spindle with the label side facing up. Press down lightly on the center of the disc until it clicks into place. Close the disc cover securely.

Operating Instructions

1. Basic Playback

After inserting a disc and powering on, the player will typically begin playback automatically. Use the PLAY/PAUSE, STOP, PREVIOUS, and NEXT buttons on the player or remote control to manage playback.

2. Volume Control

Adjust the volume using the VOL+ and VOL- buttons on the player or remote control.

3. Swivel Screen Adjustment

The screen can swivel 270 degrees and flip 180 degrees. Adjust the screen to your preferred viewing angle. It can also be folded flat against the base, transforming into a tablet-like display.

4. Break-Point Memory

The player features a built-in break-point memory function. If the player is turned off or the disc is removed during playback, it will resume from the last played position when powered on again with the same disc.

Media Compatibility

The PJGCWB Portable DVD Player supports a wide range of media formats:

  • Disc Formats: DVD, CD-R(RW), DVD-R(+R), DVD-RW(+RW), CVD(SVCD), VCD(DVCD), CD. (Note: Blu-ray discs are not supported.)
  • USB/SD Card: Supports USB drives and SD cards up to 32GB. Compatible video pixels up to 720*576.
  • File Formats: VOB, AVI, MPEG, MP3, WMA, JPEG, TXT.

Connecting to External Devices

1. Sync Playback to TV

Use the provided AV cable to connect the player to a larger television screen. Connect one end of the AV cable to the AV OUT port on the portable DVD player and the other end to the corresponding AV IN ports on your television. Select the correct input source on your TV to view the player's output.

Note: This player uses RCA (AV) connections and does not support HDMI output.

2. Using Headphones

Connect standard 3.5mm headphones to the EARPHONE jack for private listening.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning the Screen

Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the screen. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

2. Disc Care

Handle discs by their edges to avoid fingerprints. Store discs in their cases when not in use to prevent scratches.

3. General Care

Keep the player away from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, and moisture. Do not expose the device to strong impacts.

Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Ensure the device is charged or connected to a power source. Check the ON/OFF switch.
  • Disc Not Playing: Verify the disc is inserted correctly and is a supported format. Clean the disc if it appears dirty or scratched.
  • No Sound: Check the volume level. Ensure headphones are properly connected if in use.
  • Picture Quality Issues: For TV connection, ensure the AV cable is securely connected and the correct input source is selected on the TV.
  • Remote Control Not Working: Ensure there is a clear line of sight to the player's IR receiver. Check and replace the remote control battery if necessary.
