ISS Vanguard is a 1 to 4 player co-operative Board Game that can be played as a long campaign or in one-off missions. It brings players into an epic Sci-Fi adventure as they helm the first ship able to traverse deep space. Controlling four sections of the ISS Vanguard: security, recon, science, and engineering, players will develop new technologies, recruit crew members, and launch landing parties on multiple unique planets. As they do, their adventure will change to reflect their choices and they unravel the mystery at the center of their explorations. ISS Vanguard’s campaign features a unique story written by Krzysztof Piskorski (Tainted Grail) and is full of hard choices, twists, and branching storylines.

Setup

- Prepare the Ship Book: Place the Hardcover ship binder and 40-page Ship book in the designated play area.
- Assemble Player Areas: Each player selects a Crew board and corresponding custom crewmember sleeves.
- Organize Components: Sort all tokens, markers, and cards into their respective storage solutions.
- Initial Mission Briefing: Read the Introduction comic and the first sections of the 112-page Logbook to begin the campaign.
- Planet Board Placement: Depending on the mission, select and place the appropriate Planet boards.
- Miniature and Standee Setup: Place miniatures and standees as indicated by the mission scenario.

Operating the Game (Gameplay)
ISS Vanguard gameplay is divided into two primary phases: Ship Management and Planetary Exploration. The game is designed for 1 to 4 players, with an average playtime of 90 to 120 minutes per session.
Ship Management Phase
During this phase, players manage the ISS Vanguard ship from the Ship Book. This involves:
- Upgrading the Ship: Utilize resources to improve ship systems and capabilities.
- Recruiting Crewmembers: Add new personnel to your team, each with unique skills.
- Conducting Research: Develop new technologies and unlock advancements.
