6. Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your microwave oven.
6.1. Cleaning the Interior
- Always unplug the microwave before cleaning.
- Wipe the interior cavity after each use with a damp cloth to remove food splatters.
- For stubborn stains, place a bowl of water with a few slices of lemon or a tablespoon of vinegar inside and microwave on high for 2-3 minutes. The steam will loosen the grime, making it easier to wipe away.
- Clean the glass turntable and turntable ring assembly with warm, soapy water. They are usually dishwasher safe, but check the manual for specific instructions.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool, or harsh chemicals, as they can damage the interior surfaces.
6.2. Cleaning the Exterior
- Wipe the exterior surface with a soft, damp cloth.
- For the control panel, wipe gently with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid excessive moisture.
- Ensure the ventilation openings are free from dust and debris.
