Setup

1. Battery Installation

The device comes with 4 x 1.5 V AAA batteries. Open the battery compartment on the back of the monitor and insert the batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment securely.

3. Cuff Application

The cuff should be snug but not overly tight, allowing two fingers to fit underneath.

4. Bluetooth Pairing with Health Manager Pro App

To utilize the Bluetooth functionality and track your data over time, download the free Beurer Health Manager Pro app on your smartphone. Follow the in-app instructions to pair your BM54 monitor. This allows for unlimited digital memory through wireless transfer of your measurements.

Operating Instructions

1. Taking a Measurement

Sit comfortably with your back supported and feet flat on the floor. Rest your arm on a table so the cuff is at heart level. Press the power button to turn on the device. Select user 1 or 2 if applicable. The cuff will automatically inflate and deflate, and your blood pressure and pulse readings will be displayed on the XXL LCD screen.

2. Understanding Display Readings

The display shows three main values:

  • SYS (Systolic Pressure): The top number, indicating the pressure in your arteries when your heart beats.
  • DIA (Diastolic Pressure): The bottom number, indicating the pressure in your arteries between beats.
  • PUL (Pulse Rate): Your heart rate in beats per minute.

3. Risk Indicator

The BM54 features a color-coded risk indicator on the left side of the display. This indicator categorizes your blood pressure results based on guidelines set by the World Health Organization (WHO), allowing for quick interpretation of high or low readings.
