5. Setup

5.1 Inserting the Battery

5.2 Powering On/Off

• To power on, press and hold the Power Button (circle icon) on the top panel until the indicator light illuminates.
• To power off, press and hold the Power Button again until the indicator light turns off.

5.3 Bluetooth Pairing

1. Ensure the speaker is powered on. The Bluetooth indicator light will flash, indicating it's in pairing mode.
2. On your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
3. Select "OHYES ZX0988" from the list of devices.
4. Once connected, the Bluetooth indicator light on the speaker will stop flashing and remain solid.

5.4 TWS (True Wireless Stereo) Pairing (Optional)

To achieve a stereo sound experience, you can pair two ohyes Bluetooth Speakers together:

1. Ensure both speakers are powered on and not connected to any other Bluetooth device.
2. On one speaker (this will be the primary speaker), press and hold the Bluetooth Button until you hear a pairing tone.
3. On the second speaker, press the Bluetooth Button once.
4. The two speakers will automatically connect to each other. Once connected, the primary speaker's Bluetooth indicator will flash, and the secondary speaker's indicator will be solid.
5. Now, connect your mobile device to the primary speaker via Bluetooth as described in Section 5.3.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Playing Audio via Bluetooth

• Once paired with your device, start playing audio from your device.
• Use the Volume Up (+) and Volume Down (-) buttons on the speaker or your device to adjust the volume.
• Use the Previous Track (<<) and Next Track (>>) buttons to navigate your playlist.
• Press the Power Button (circle icon) to play or pause the audio.

6.2 Playing Audio via USB Disk

1. Insert a USB flash drive containing audio files into the USB-A port on the rear of the speaker.
2. The speaker will automatically detect the USB disk and begin playing audio.
3. Use the volume and track control buttons as described for Bluetooth audio.

6.3 Charging External Devices

The speaker can act as a power bank for your mobile devices:

1. Connect your device's charging cable to either the USB-A or USB-C port on the rear of the speaker.
2. Ensure the speaker is powered on.
3. Your device will begin charging. The USB-C port supports 5V/2A fast charging.
