4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Safety Precautions

• Always disconnect power before installation or maintenance.

4.2 Mounting the Unit

The hydraulic power unit must be installed horizontally to ensure proper operation and prevent damage. Avoid vertical installation.

4.3 Electrical Connection

Connect the hydraulic power unit to a 12V DC power supply (not included) according to the following:

• Connect the negative pole of the electronic motor to the negative terminal of your 12V battery.
• Connect the positive pole of the relay to the positive terminal of your 12V battery.

4.4 Hydraulic Connections

This unit is designed for double-acting cylinders. Ensure your cylinder also has two ports for operation.

• The oil port interface type is (9/16")SAE#6. Ensure your oil pipes and fittings are compatible.
• For lifting (UP): Connect A2 for outlet and A1 for return.
• For lowering (DOWN): Connect A2 for return and A1 for outlet.
• The suitable hydraulic oil viscosity range is 22-46mm²/s.

5. Operating Instructions

The hydraulic power unit is operated using the included remote control switch.

• To Lift (UP): Press and hold the "UP" button on the remote control. The hydraulic system will activate, and the cylinder will extend, lifting the load.
• To Stop/Hover: Release the "UP" or "DN" button. The system will stop, and the load will remain suspended at its current position.
• To Lower (DOWN): Press and hold the "DN" button on the remote control. The hydraulic system will activate, and the cylinder will retract, lowering the load.

5.1 Important Operating Notes

• Do not exceed the maximum rated pressure or lifting capacity.
• Regularly check hydraulic fluid levels.
• Ensure the power supply is stable and adequate (12V DC).

• Fluid Level Check: Regularly inspect the hydraulic fluid level in the reservoir. Top up with recommended hydraulic oil (viscosity 22-46mm²/s) as needed.
• Fluid Replacement: Replace hydraulic fluid periodically as recommended by hydraulic system best practices or if contamination is observed.
• Leak Inspection: Routinely check all hydraulic lines, fittings, and the unit itself for any signs of leaks. Address leaks immediately to prevent system failure and environmental contamination.
