Introduction

Thank you for choosing the IDEALHOUSE Queen Size Upholstered Platform Bed Frame. This manual provides essential information for the safe assembly, proper use, and maintenance of your new bed frame. Please read all instructions carefully before beginning assembly and retain this manual for future reference.

Safety Information

  • Maximum Weight Capacity: Do not load more than 800 pounds (362 kg) on this bed frame. Exceeding this limit may cause damage to the frame and potential injury.
  • Ensure all bolts and screws are securely tightened before use. Periodically check and re-tighten as necessary.
  • Keep small parts away from children during assembly to prevent choking hazards.
  • Assemble the bed frame on a soft, clean surface (e.g., carpet) to prevent scratching the product or your floor.
  • Do not use power tools for assembly as this may overtighten or strip screws.
  • If any parts are missing or damaged, do not proceed with assembly. Contact customer support immediately.

Setup and Assembly Instructions

Assembly typically requires two adults. Please follow these steps carefully:

  1. Attach Side Rails to Headboard: Align the side rails with the pre-drilled holes on the headboard. Secure them using the provided bolts and washers. Do not fully tighten yet.
  2. Attach Side Rails to Footboard: Connect the other end of the side rails to the footboard, aligning holes and securing with bolts and washers. Hand-tighten all connections.
  3. Install Center Support Beam: Attach the center support beam to the designated brackets on the headboard and footboard. Ensure it is centered and secure. Attach any support legs to the center beam.
  4. Install Support Legs: Attach the remaining support legs to the corners of the bed frame and any additional designated points. Ensure plastic foot plugs are in place to protect your floor.
  5. Tighten All Hardware: Once all major components are assembled, go back and fully tighten all bolts and screws using the provided Allen wrench. Ensure the frame is stable and level.
  6. Place Wooden Slats: Unroll or place the wooden slats across the bed frame. The slats are designed with Velcro strips to secure them to the frame and prevent movement and noise. Ensure even spacing.

Operating Instructions

  • Mattress Placement: Place your Queen size mattress directly onto the wooden slats. A box spring is not required for this platform bed frame.
  • Weight Distribution: Ensure weight is distributed evenly across the bed frame. Avoid concentrating heavy loads in one small area.
  • Movement: When moving the bed frame, lift it rather than dragging it to prevent damage to the legs or frame structure.

Maintenance

  • Fabric Care: The upholstered parts of the bed frame are made of velvet fabric. For cleaning, dry clean only. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as this may damage the fabric.
  • General Cleaning: Dust the frame regularly with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Hardware Check: Periodically (every 3-6 months) check all bolts and screws to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten if necessary to maintain stability and prevent noise.
