1. Introduction

2. Product Overview & Features

The Hot Dog 3.0 offers a vertical payload capacity of up to 6.5kg and an inclined payload of up to 14kg. 3. Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the slider and all accessories from its packaging.
2. Powering On: The slider's motor part is powered by a battery. Ensure the battery is charged and correctly inserted. The unit can be turned on/off directly from the motor part.
3. Mounting the Slider:
   • On a Flat Surface: Extend the integrated support legs and adjust them for stability.
   • On a Tripod: Attach the slider to a sturdy tripod using the mounting points. For enhanced stability, especially with heavier cameras, consider using additional support arms (e.g., Neewer Camera Slider Support Arm Stabilizer) attached to the tripod legs and the slider.
4. Attaching the Camera Head:
   • Z-Flex Tilt Head (Recommended): This head allows mounting cameras (mobile phones, DSLRs, full-frame cameras) in horizontal or vertical positions. It offers multiple adjustment points for flexible camera angles.
   • Low Profile Camera Tripod Ball Head (Recommended): For robust and flexible camera positioning, attach a high-quality ball head to the slider carriage. This provides extensive adjustability for various shooting requirements.
5. Mounting the Camera: Secure your camera onto the chosen camera head. Ensure it is firmly attached and balanced.

4. Operating

1. Initial Calibration: Upon powering on, the slider carriage will automatically move to one end (left or right) to calibrate its position.
2. Remote Control Operation: Use the provided remote control to adjust the slider's movement. You can set the speed (percentage) and direction (left/right) of the carriage.
3. Smartphone App Control: For advanced control, download the dedicated YC Onion smartphone application. The app allows for precise control over speed, setting waypoints, and executing complex movements like tracking, parallax, and panoramic shots.
4. Adjusting Movement Curve: The slider allows for adjusting the angle of the main rail, enabling curved camera movements. This feature adds dynamic perspectives to your videos.
5. Manual Mode: The quick-release belt clip allows for easy disengagement of the motor, enabling manual operation of the slider when desired.

5. Maintenance

• Keep the carbon fiber rails clean and free from dust or debris to ensure smooth operation.
