3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

The remote control requires two (2) AAA batteries (not included) for operation. Follow these steps to install the batteries:

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control (refer to Figure 2.3).
  2. Press down on the tab and slide the battery compartment cover downwards to remove it.
  3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
  4. Slide the battery compartment cover back into place until it clicks securely.

Important: Always use new batteries and replace both batteries at the same time. Do not mix old and new batteries or different types of batteries. Remove batteries if the remote will not be used for an extended period.

4. Operating Instructions

This remote control operates via infrared (IR) signals. Ensure there is a clear line of sight between the remote's IR emitter and the projector's IR receiver for optimal performance.

4.1 Basic Functions

  • Power Button (): Press to turn the projector ON or OFF.
  • Navigation Pad (▲▼◀▶): Use these directional buttons to navigate through menus and selections on the projector screen.
  • OK Button: Press to confirm a selection or enter a menu item.
  • Volume Up/Down (🔊 / 🔇): Adjust the projector's audio volume.
  • Mute Button (🔇): Mute or unmute the projector's audio.
  • Back/Return Button (): Return to the previous menu or screen.
  • Menu Button (): Access the projector's main menu.
  • Source/Input Button (): Select the input source (e.g., HDMI, USB).
  • Playback Controls (⏮︎, ⏯︎, ⏭︎): Control media playback (e.g., skip backward, play/pause, skip forward).

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To clean the remote control, gently wipe its surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, abrasive pads, or chemical solvents, as these can damage the remote's finish or internal components.

5.2 Battery Replacement

Replace batteries when the remote's response becomes sluggish or stops working. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 3.1. Dispose of used batteries responsibly according to local regulations.

5.3 Storage

Store the remote control in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity. If storing for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Remote is not responding:
    • Ensure new AAA batteries are correctly installed.
    • Check for a clear line of sight between the remote and the projector's IR receiver. Remove any obstructions.
    • Verify that the remote is compatible with your specific projector model (VIVIMAGE Explore 2, DBPOWER Q6 L12, or VISOUD V6 V7).
  • Some functions do not work:
    • This is a replacement remote. It may not support all functions of your projector's original remote. Functionality is limited to the buttons present and their standard IR codes.
